more worried of
losing "face" (people look down on U).
Image projection very important.
Visits to others must be
properly attired to show respect - especially for relatives,
in-laws, elders,
gov offices (for good service) etc. Security in Hyatt Hotel, Manila even spoke to me in
Tagalog because of my
sloppy attire - breaking into smile when I replied in English.
