i fully agreed..... I always tell them: if can't afford to buy or to build, just rent lor, majority of the people also stay in the rented house. Everywhere in the world also the same, be it USA, Europe or in Singapore.
When I can't afford to buy a car, I rent a car or to take taxi lo.
If for family, means husband, wife and children, I might help. the help stops here. Even for my own extended family like my own brothers or sisters, I also no help and ask them to go to bank for housing or renovation loan and pay interest for that.
the reason they are poor and can't afford is because they are lazy.
the other way round, if I am lazy and become poor, will they give me money to buy house in Singapore?
