We have same common conclusions but different economic theory
If this time recession it would be worldwide not just certain regions, Vn would not need to devalue their currency cos naturally it will just go down in tandem with the USD since US is still now in what we call a technical recession so it would not have enough time to recover when the real recession hits, our S$ will still have staying power against the USD as we are measured against a baskets of currencies and not just tied to one, hence if the S$ goes up against USD, similarly it will do so against VND
