One day, after a few courses had passed, Eve came into the class late and sat beside me as usual.
Eve: Your company got any vacancy?
I: What happen? Why suddenly asked me this during the middle of the class?
Eve: I need $$ and is not able to find a job yet.
I: Hmm, actually my colleague had just resigned and my boss is looking for a replacement, but u really interested? It is really a very small company and i got to do virtually everything.
Eve: Yeah, i need the $$ fast, can introduce me to your boss?
I: Huh? No need lar, u just forward me your resume and i will pass it to him lor...
Eve: Ok, thks for your help. If i manage to secure the job, i would buy u a meal to show my gratitude.

Deep inside, i am not really keen to introduce my friend to the job as i felt at that time that my boss was an arrogant prick and talk as if he is some sort of big-shot despite of the relative small operations of the Company. However, a promise is a promise and i know deep down in my heart that i had to fulfill it.
The next morning came, and i open my email in the office anticipating Eve's email. "U had an incoming email!". As expected, the email is from Eve. As i run through her resume, i saw her photo and i cannot believe how different she looked. In the photo, she looked simply stunning and i was transfixed on the image of her photo for a good few seconds. Suddenly, my boss walked behind me and said: "wow, who is that?"
I: Oh boss, since Serene had already resigned, u need to look for a replacement, right?
Boss: Of cos, y? u got someone to recommend? but i got a few applicants lor.
I: Knn, i thought, y everytime, need to act like ur firm is so big when it is actually so small? But i said, oh my course mate is interested and she had forwarded her resume for your peruse.
Boss: Oh where? Print out and forward me here resume then.
I: Ok, boss...
A bit on Serene, she is a China lady who had found a job with a bigger firm. Not attractive at all to me but to the boss, she is a beauty and he laments when she left and how much she had contributed to the firm. But she had only worked there for 3 months and i really cannot see her contributions? Maybe her contribution is visual effect for my boss since she got Cup C boobs!
That very day, during the lunch time, i got a call from Eve.
Eve: Hi, thanks for the help, that was quick, your boss asked me down for an interview this afternoon.
I: Huh? really? Deep down, i though, this old prick told me earlier he got so many potential applications for the job... So fast decided to call Eve down for the interview?
Eve then asked me some general things about what she need to prepare etc and i would not bored everyone with the details. However, i told her just to dress sexily for the interview and she would get the job. To me, it was more of a joke at that time, but she surprised me more when she turned up for the interview during the afternoon...
