I was luckier, got out on first day of protest. My factory in Batu Ampar side. Gotten news that day regarding sekupang riot and protest, by workers. Unlike the Uncang Riot, which is directed at the managers, this time is about pay issue, I know it is going to get ugly.
So happened that I was scduled for a meeting in singapore with some clients, and got out at 5 PM. Over the next few days, I gotten news it spread to Batam Centre, and nagoya business are closing early. only option is to wait out.
Overall, it is not as bad as feared, but still, life goes on. If you had treated your workers fairly and kind, they would rather have a safe income than to risk their work for a kick like demo and riot.
Also to note is NOT TO GET TOO MANY SAME KAMPONG PEOPLE in your factory. Like in a ship, there are no more than 3 or 4 person from same place or kampong. United they can create alot of trouble. Or get others to join them.
As for ceweks, they are always from different places, becos they dont want others to know what they do outside their kampong,,,, hahahhahahha.
