I remember seeing an Indian gentleman on Wed afternoon, perhaps you are the same one? Qian Qian can say a few words like, "Okay", "Sorry', "Thank You", but probably nothing that is difficult. She just said them for fun since I'm also Chinese. She said she picked up a bit of English while working in Shenzhen. Maybe she can understand a bit of what you said but she can't communicate back effectively.
Most PRC WLs, maybe all, in GL will not be able to communicate in English. If you enjoy PRC WLs, you may want to learn a few Mandarin words to make life easier for yourself and the WLs.

For this house most if not all of the WLs provide BBBJ. I've only noticed 1 FR that mentioned a newbie not providing that (ie BJ with CD) but I think it is the okt's wish that all of his WLs provide BBBJ to all customers.
