Again, this time the ministry of home affairs decide to play the soft card approach. First to allow eligible LTSVP+ and unsuccessful SPR applicants to attain this LTSVP+, while on the other hand, to control the rate of successful SPR applicants in order to be accountable to the voters.
As I mentioned earlier, ICA can relax and allow more unsuccessful SPRs to fill this new category, but SPRs is still what the spouse wants. And it is still depend on the sponsor's ability.
At the very least, this new scheme help to "secure" those spouse whose sponsors may have encounterd some unexpected job loss, or financial hardship if they have got the pre-approved 3-5 yrs of LTSVP+.
