Yr idea is totally wrong. Be it you marry in thailand, Vietnam or Singapore, whether yr spouse get SPE depends on you, the sponsor. Your income and stability of yr career plays a major role in deciding whether your foreign spouse gets SPR. Striking an example, if a degree holder, earning 6k a month and has been in his job for the last 3 to 5 years, do you think ICA has any reason to reject his wife's SPR application ? ( provided his wife is not black listed) . Another example, if a Singaporean male, O levels education , earns $2k a month, ICA has every reason to reject his foreign spouse SPR application as he cannot even feed himself well, not to say his foreign spouse.
Many fellow samsters don't understand this and still refuse to accept this reality. Actually , why wife needs SPR? LTSVP Plus is good enuff .
