Yes, it's the Siam hotel area. Way back in the day I used to sit inside the Siam coffee shop checking out the freelancers there. The walk was also different..they used to line up starting a little ways up the road from that car dealership near the Petchaburi MRT station. Now they line up in the back in a really dark road.
Even though every long time punter knows about this place it still seems so underrated because you do get some real part time girls looking to make pocket money. Just in the first 10 meters that I walked last night I saw 3 girls that were uni fresh, cute, and bonkable.
My only criteria that night was to take them to my condo. I wasn't interested in messing with the short time hotel.
