Agreed,but usually those first time bro prefer riverside area cos maybe feel safer.Most of their street or even their main street lights are dimm or no have.
Other than riverside area,there is a few at street 100+ that have some decent or good budget hotel or guesthouse.U can actually get a air con good room with only 12usd per night.
Know that area as traveller mention is a backpack area but dont seem like one compare to bangkok and hcm.Not lively at all.
My first stay when in PP was at street 200+ which is further up from olympic stadium.Anyway PP is a small area and easy to go around according to their street number.U can even walk around during day time to all those tourist spot if u want to
