It is not odd at all..... the men go there to release... not to socialise.
I see the same behavior here in geylang too. Sometimes while waiting for my buddy to finish... I see local men come in and wait quietly by the side for their chosen girl. After a few attempts... I have given up trying to talk to fellow customers at the geylang brothels.
