As Im currently residing in TH, expenses at here are relatively cheap than Sg, so judging from FRs, I think HK is akin to Sg.
Hear say from friends that HK is similar like Sg, be it food, entertainment?(discos/pubs) Are there any cover charge for clubs?
And also hear say from friends now Hongkie can converse quite well in English. As both of us can't speak Cantonese, we afraid have some language problem, especially during our first week in HK.

Quite a lot of HK people can understand mandarin these days.. though they may not speak it. Quite a lot of people (young gen) understand n speak basic english.
Most road signs/MTR exits, roads are in dual language, English n Chinese (traditional)
Food is slightly more expensive than SG, Cars are a lot cheaper, Rents are a little bit higher, Shopping for clothes, shoes, electronics is cheaper than SG.
Transport system is very efficient but peak hours very crowded like in all major cities in the world. Taxis are cheaper, Buses run till very late daily in some parts (2am-3am). PM me if U got other Qs.
