if just there to try seafood, i suggest to give a skip.
Batam is a place to relax for entertainment like massage or shopping or to release the load.
Furthermore, if plainning to go back in the evening, there is no much fun.
I suggest your ex-colleagues save up the ferry cost and bring their wives for a nice seafood in singapore will do.
