Landscape may change but it takes time, not with so much corruption taking place in VN.

We can get a glimpse of future Vietnam by looking at Jakarta and the surroundings cities there. While the capital cities are cosmopolitan, the smaller cities still retain its suburban beauty and the people in smaller cities remain suburban and rural in outlook.

Look beyond HCM and things get more familiar with the old Vietnam at the smaller cities. HCM can change, but it will be a long long time for secondary cities to follow suit. A long long time indeed.

Meanwhile, dont fret abt HCM or how this city will change. Enjoy the present HCM and look beyond this city if it indeed changes. HCM will change completely but the rest of VN will not change completely.
