How true... Had one bad experience in Hanoi but the beauty and beauties in Vietnam make it forgettable. Going to the villages, eating with the villager local food that they recommended and drinking beer with them.
Very relaxing and amusing to them because I am the only foreigner there. LOL.
edit: In Hue right now, very small place so best to make friends with a local villager guide not those kind of company's guide. So instead of seeing pagoda and dead people resting place, visit their village. Darn cheap. Duck porridge x3, beer bottles x2 all for $4 SGD.
