Oh yes, and also to add, on my last day in Vietnam, went back to hcmc to catch up the flight back the nxt morning. As I heard that benny has reopen, decided to head there and check it out. Taxi dropped me just outside my tien, which had her shutter closed. Walked over to benny, shutter was up, but the front gate was locked.
If my arm was 5 metres long, i could have knocked on the door to see if indeed it is still operating. Alternatively was to climb over the gate, but didnt want to offend any viet on my virgin viet trip.
Loitered around the area for a while, before heading to D1 for one MP behind a dodgy looking backlane. To be honest, that place look dodgy enough that it looks like it provides extra. Even when i went in, had some massage, i started roaming around the massage lady, who didnt put up much resistance. But when asked for more, she turned me down. Maybe my modus operandi is wrong?
In short, only manage to have a ok massage with some auto roaming..
Damage: 200k for massage, 100k tips to the masseuse.
Despite the recent crackdown, still feel that HCMC is a chill place - nice coffee houses, interesting cafes, and have MC to ride me to off the road areas to try some local delights - it is an experience. Thanks bro skyfree for having quick beer and chat. Thanks bro volcano for 1st night hospitality.
Next time in hcmc, i will try to chiong other areas outside the main d1/d3 area, and maybe check out benny again.
