Yea he was fortunate. I think the news said that he had leukemia or something? So after the transplant his donor fortunately had a mutation in the gene that was immune to HIV. So as a result cured him of HIV

Even if this day really comes, I will still encourage everyone to practise safe sex!
AIDS or HIV is one thing; we still have a list of nasty STD like HPV, HSV, gonorrhea, syphilis, and so on. Why put your life and your loved ones on the risk?
