That's true, but it'll be nice if a frequent chiong-er could give his generalisation between the two.

The reason for this thread is because I've only visited ML/FLs and never to Geylang. But I'm keen on visiting.

There r so many type, gl got ktv got stand street, got roam. Fl got local got not local. Think it is quite difficult to break it down. But to summarise everything, it is all abt holes n $

FL cheaper and can bring out go kai kai if you sart enough (or dumb enough). GL mainly transactional relationship.

Geylang is a venue and FL is a occupation. Nothing to compare.
FL also works in Geylang

I ask something ar... Those girls from $$$$$boy or sammyboy are they FLs? Or they are legal one? Like those from viet or Thai. If FL, will I get caught by police?

They are not legal, the legal ones are the brothel houses at Geylang/Petain/etc.

Seems like there was a thread this like this when I searched the forums. I sum up my findings as:

Discrete: FL > GL, FLs are far more discrete with different areas and types of housing. If you get spotted around Geylang brothels, there is only one reason you are there.

Location: Varies, it depends on where you live and where the girl is located. Generally the more isolated, the more discrete it is.

Consistency: GL > FL, in Geylang you can see the girls physically before proceeding. With FLs, you have to depend on the picture provided and lower your expectations. Many other variables as well.

Value: FL > GL, FL girls are slightly cheaper, with the better ones going for 120 compared to CAT150.

Looks: GL > FL, in GL you get to at least look at the girls they are. You can definitely find a lady that suits your taste.

Attitude: Varies, GL has a more consistent good service but with a very commercial feel. FLs are hit or miss.

Safety: GL > FL, GL girls go for regular STD check-ups.

Legality: GL > FL, FLs are illegal
