Is it wrong to do nude modelling in Singapore?

I am 18 years old this year, so I wanted to start off as model and I quoted $200 per hour to do nude photoshoot since I did some research around that it should be around this price.

I got quite a number of requests for photoshoots but I also received quite a number of warning messages from white knights as well.

They told me it is definitely a wrong step to do nude photoshoot in Singapore somehow as pictures will get leaked and shared to forums etc, people will blackmail me in future, some people will post them on tumblr or paid ads to earn money as well as blackhearted photographers who would resell my pictures to make more profits.

There was this particular someone who warned me about two guys I need to look out for.

One is Edwin Lim. The person told me he was a photoshoot organizer that always organized sleazy photoshoots and exploited from models by making them doing erotic lesbian, nude shoots.

Another person is daretoimpress. The person told me he is currently actively finding models to shoot nude to resell their nude pictures for profits also fabricating stories of models willing to strip in front of him to let him shoot and have sex.

Are all these true stories?

I am still new to this modelling industry so I do hope experienced people can advice me more on what should I take note when dealing with such photographers.


I am not keen to work as a FL or sugarbabe. But I do not wish to work as a Mcdonalds crew girl as well. Mainly just need some extra cash to shop and club.

Actually I do not really care how people judge my nude pictures since I am quite open minded, but still it gets pretty annoying when people keep telling me it is wrong....

You seem to be confused about exactly what nude modeling is.

When a photographer shoots nudes he pays the model for the right to use the images to make money. Photography is a business. If a photographer pays you $400 for a two hour shoot it is because he hopes to be able to recoup that amount plus more by selling the images to third parties eg a website or a publication. This is not exploitation. This is a business transaction.

There is no point shooting nudes if the images cannot be used commercially unless the photographer is a pervert who just wants to use the images to jerk off to or is using the photo session as an excuse to get you to undress. Pervert photographers are known as "Guys with Cameras". They know very little about photography. They just want to see naked bodies and hope to bed you.

If you do not want your nude images to be viewed by the general public then DON'T do nude modeling because once they are taken they will definitely end up being leaked and circulated no matter what the photographer promises regarding keeping them for himself.

However if you have no issues with the images being published then go for it.

Professional nude models don't worry about images being published by photographers. They will publish their own nude images in order to further their modeling careers. Example : http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/3077662/viewall

No proper photographer will shoot nudes and ask for sex too. I have shot hundreds of nude images but I have never even touched the models plus I always have a chaperone present to protect myself against any false accusations of impropriety.

1. GWC = Shoot see see girls body (majority)
2. Shady pervert (with intention to molest, make money out of pic, touch models)
3. Ethical professional (just like create good good pic and art like.. ahem, Ddog)

Start out as nude people expect nothing less than nude thereafter. Sleazy is different category. If sis see see some models like Rebecca, seldom shoot with average quality photographer. That is quality control.

Edwin Lim is old man wearing hat, skinny, hiding under many names, always can see him in cosplay recruiting and modelling events. He always spot Ddog, knows who but stay afar... bcos can bite! hehe...

If sis doing modelling best be independent, can earn more unless agent unless trustworthy, keep sugary image and ants will come. If want advise local market can ask Ddog.

Perhaps she can start off doing implied nudes or poses that hide her identity.

EG this image was shot for a Yoga / Fitness studio brochure. Subject was happy to show off her toned body but did not want identity revealed.

about nude modelling in singapore, there are already so many leaked nudes in this forum. if you start doing nudes, then there is so much evidence just staring at you in the face that you should prepare for it to be leaked even with NDA signed

sometimes models will just look at the money and because they want the money...well they just ignore the reality and pretend that signing a NDA will guarantee the secrecy of their nudes forever

this is really the wrong attitude and is so silly. look, once the money spent finish, the nude photos will still be there ! 5 years, 10 years , 20 years it will still be there but the money long ago spent already

for nude modelling, it requires girls who are OK with letting the world see their naked body, i believe recently got a local model who went topless for a movie...yeah it requires a person with THE suitable mindset. some girls are very very shy, some girls are the complete opposite and totally dun give a damn.

the problem is when a shy girl decides to take the risk and do nude modelling because she wants the money......then after the money spend finish how ?

so my conclusion is this

if you mind ppl seeing ur nude pics - then dun do nudes

if you dun mind ppl seeing ur nude pics - then do nudes

sounds very simple, but u keep seeing shy girls doing nudes...then hoping that nothing leaks.....

No, it is not wrong to do a nude shoot. It is a matter of whether you will regret it many years down the road. Lets say you are in your 30s. When you meet your ex-classmate / colleague / someone you hate and if she giggles when she looks at her phone and at you, if you are fine with it, then go ahead.

You don't seem to have the maturity to do nudes.

The main issue is you don't want to be exploited.
Unless you think you can get more money than wad you're paid, there's no exploitation. So it doesn't matter if the photog makes 1k selling your nudes. If you're not happy, u can always cut the middlemen. But you'll find difficulty doing so.

And you're asking if this story is true or not.
Just take it its true ok.
In fact I do one better. I can tell you gals can be touched inappropriately or even end up being fcuked when they're 'unwilling'. Scared?

If you thought it through very carefully n really don't care if ppl see your nudes, then it doesn't matter others say its wrong. Just like There are some gers who don't mind being a pros though the majority mind

And there's nothin wrong working in macdonalds.

are you asking if it is "illegal" rather than "wrong" to do nude shoot?

under the sg law, you cannot do nude shoot in public areas.. you could be charge for indecency...however if you do it behind the doors and keep it private it is a total different story..

i do tons of nude shoot but i dont share them unless i get the approval from the model.

1. the model was sleeping.
2. you undressed her blouse. (reverse 1 and 2 order)
3. she turned in her sleep
4. you took more pictures of her state of undress
5. model woke up angry. Clenched fist at you.
6. model waved hand to argue with you
7. model point finger at you to give her pics back
8. you show her your camera got pictures of tree branches only
9. a macro pic to prove you are a "real" professional photographer

I like the pictures. They tell a story plus there is more to cum. I eagerly await the next chapter although it seems to be a long time coming.
