of course owning a car isn't really important, but in this age and society, let's face it - for superficial relationships and hookups it sure as hell does help a lot.

Honestly I don't get wats the big hoohaa over a car? If the gal u r into is like that just dump loh this kinda want don't want also same.. The next bigger better car comes along she will just dump u conveniently but please do not say this to all gals

If wat u said is true then shouldn't I fall for a Lamborghini convertible guy instead? When in the first place lambo was nicer looking too?

Pls stop stereotyping gals, you could be slightly more privileged than us luckier than some of us but not every gal fall in that category. Some ppl do things they do for genuine reasons not like what you ppl think.

relax. first of all I am definitely not stereotyping. I did not and have never said that all girls are like that. but let's be realistic and agree that a large portion of Singaporean girls are quite materialistic.

secondly, most guys do know when girls are only after their money/ status. and obviously these guys are only after the sex or like to have a pretty accessory to hang around their arm.

I hope what you say is the truth but reality contradicts. Singaporean girls associate success to the car albeit some of them don't but numbers are one sided. Face it, 2 men equally gentlemanly, equally romantic, equally kind asking a singaporean girl out, 1 with a thick wallet in a european sports car while the other can only afford public transport. Who will the girl choose? No prizes for getting the right answer.
