My friend got kena trick also... say first say $30/- so my friend not change so give 50$ ... the guy(malay, middle age) than say go do first than after session look for him for the change. Since at the point of time his brain was in his d--k, he proceed .
When he came out to collect after the session saw the guy outside in a corner. apporch him and ask the guy pretend like didn't know anything. My friend continue to ask for the change ... than the guy point to a bystander and ask my frined to ask the bystander...than my friend realise.


So morale of the story , give exact change if you want to try at such spots (dark alley) or safer all transaction
