I'm not much of a singer, so I let L choose most of the songs, but I did choose one song by Rihanna / ft Eminem. Having been a fan of Eminem since he debuted, I did try to sing / rap a few of his songs, but the one that resonated most with me was his collaboration with Rihanna.

"Love the way you lie"

L sang the verses by Rihanna and I did the rap lines by Eminem. Overall good effort by the both of us, though we weren't really karaoke fans.

Some of her verses, I would join in and look deep in her eyes (I've memorised most of the lyrics to that song already), and she would smile back at me. Of course, I scooted over next to her on the sofa to do that and we were in close proximity.

However, nothing happened until the next song.

"Tong Hua"

Quite a famous Mandarin song that came out many years ago. I don't quite understand the entire song, my Chinese is that chui, but, I got the gist of it, and can memories the lyrics to this too.

So, while singing, I just looked into her eyes and sang to her, and with my right hand, I took her left hand and placed it gently on my lap, rubbing it through half of the song.

It was a good omen that she didn't remove her hand at all.

During the MV, the female lead suddenly fainted and the male lead took her to the hospital in his arms. I did the same with L, scooping her up by her legs and back, and put her on my lap.

She just blushed and looked away, but didn't make any effort to get up from my lap.
