Great choice... Fu Ming (福明) chai tao kway is the real deal! Famous local food critic Dr Leslie Tay said that Fu Ming is probably the only CTK stall in Singapore that can make equally delish black & white versions... a view I fully agree with having tried both versions here several times. Personally I prefer the white version but that’s a personal choice (haven’t gone fully to the dark side yet, haha!)
The secret lies in the fact that the boss still painstaking makes his own carrot cake instead of relying on commercial suppliers. So naturally his carrot cake is quintissentially more yumz than most other places.
Btw, this stall is located at blk 85 Redhill market. Can’t miss it. The good thing is that they are open until 11ish at night thereabouts. Can go there & whack this for supper, followed by some nice ice kachang at the famous Qing Tian (青天) Desserts!

Ah Seng (Hai Nam) Kopi & Kaya Toast @ Amoy Food Centre... good traditional kaya toasts are plentiful in town but my masseuse & I particularly like this one at Amoy Food Centre level 2. Brought her here on a quiet sat morning breakfast recently. The kaya cum french toast combo is to-die-for, so fragrant & yummy until it got her hooked, haha!

Jin Hua Fish Bee Hoon Souo (金华鱼片米粉) @ Maxwell Food Centre... very flavourful & thick fish soup but normal day too humid & hot for this. Eat already sweat like water buffalo, but perfect for rainy weather like today!!
