I'm planning of going to Tg Balai on June 22, staying there for 5 nights and returning on June 27. 5 nights stay at Aston cost $223 if booked via Agoda, less than $50 a day, good value. Just hope that there will be more ferry going there by then. I still not sure the entry requirements same as going to Batam or not, Sindo Ferry had not reply my enquiries.
Ferry service to Tg Balai is only available on EVEN dates, not daily. So if going there minimum require to stay for 2 nights, can't return on next day unless willing to the the trouble of taking a domestic ferry to Batam and transfer.

Will there still be ample supply of ceweks these days? I wonder how the locals survive, especially the drivers.
I'm currently at Balai, staying at Aston, arriving only this afternoon, which is the 1st ferry service between Singapore and Balai after Indonesia government reopen borders. The driver, who is a Chinese Indonesia, can speak Hokkien that send me to Aston from ferry terminal told me that he has "lobang " for ceweks, however I didn't take up his offer to see the ceweks since I already have cewek waiting for me here. So I don't know the quality of ceweks contacts he has. He told me the price is not much different as the price at villa 2 years ago.

You took the driver at the immigration centre/gate? Or your own personal ctc?
