Let me recount my night again.

Got a few business partners and friends from Thailand come SIN for meeting so i the only Singaporean bring them out to party and impress them with Singapore "buzz". These are all US educated scions of business in Thailand and hard partying BKK hi-so set. Heard of GM from here so we proceeded there after thai dinner in Marina area.

Wanted to go to disco by the door at ground floor but again heard from here the biggest happening place to be was upstairs TD1. Went in it was empty to be fair it was 9pm but in BKK 9pm already rocking. Place is only fraction of the size of BKK clubs and they call biggest?

Cannot sit down as almost EVERY table RESERVED. WTF? Reserved by VIPs? Some even got put the bottle there to chope. Typical Singaporean. Was usher to table at dark corner at the side. How to see stage like this? Heard so call SIR DUKE band was the BEST? Summon the manager then removed a reserved table for us. Band was playing to the empty house then. Got two bengs sitting right in front of stage. think they came at 6pm to chope SUCH GOOD SEATS. Either they are tone deaf members of Association of the Deaf or they are upskirts fans trying to beo singers panties.

Order a CANNON but manager seeign that we are big spenders suggest we open 4 bottles get one free more worth it. try to save money for us? ok lor. Then came 4 bottles we ask how come not 5 leh? He said weekends cannot open free bottle. WTF!!! call manager again. he say sorry but company policy. Come back next week with card. Hello my thai friends only here for few days leh! Frustrated gave the card to one of the hostess sitting with us.

Then one rowdy group started to hang flowers to the guys singers. pretty girl singers got none. no class got class hang whole band lah lau GAY with golden hair and lousy cheap red shirt. I ask and found out one flower only $10 and the "BIG BOSS" only hung 2 total. From his group reaction i thot the flowers were $100 or more. the poor waitress in charge still have to let him MOLEST then got $20 business. i summon her and hung $50 for EVERY member including intstrument players. The Lau GAY not happy stare at me thot i want to sian his gay boys singers.

Then came some pretty chicks but was usher to this reserve VIP corner with some uncles. From the gesture and the way the staff treat them must be some VIP. Then i see the whole group all pour from the same chivas bottle. This place got no max number of customers to a bottle? Even Lo-so place for locals in BKK like dance fever hollywood have. I COUNTED 15 MEN AND WOMEN SHARING ONE BOTTLE. Walan drink still must ration. Free ice and mixers too unlike BKK. One bottle can ;ast whole night. HOW CHEAP IS THAT?

Many many more to list. GM sucks big time. try to imitate BKK experience? In your DREAMS!

Personally, I dont drink in GM & only been there twice which I dont quite like the place as well. Firstly, I"m not a regulars unlike some lads here who had certain privileges there & then. Secondly, I dont speak Thai & not really Tirak worshipper & lastly it wasnt my type of drinking holes where I like to patronise.

To be fair, I felt your pain but I dont think it's quite fair to pass judgemental views like that. I fully comprehend about your injustice or maybe your embarrasment with your prestige client but downright I think you have chosen a wrong place to entertain them in the very beginning. In my view, I would think you should bring them to Las Vegas or TAM at the very least rather than venturing out to GM. Well...to be fair, our so-called Thai bands or Thai partying arena is no where compared to BKK standards. It's indeed a shame but that's supposed the best that we can offer here if I"m not wrong.

My advice to you. Next time, suggest & show what's the best we can offer ( Las Vegas, TAM, etc..Or maybe pure drinking clubbing places like Clarke Quay,St James etc) instead of bringing them to places which will makes you feel awkward & embarrassed when you entertain.
