Neber knew this place become so happening liao as compared to last time.
Last time got no karaoke section, the whole entire place was disco.

At the basement disco, there is one karaoke room inside the disco itself. I have patronised both discos and personally found that the one at the basement is good for me because the beer there are cheap. 1 bucket of henieken cost $36, 1 jug of beer cost $25. Cprrect me if i am wrong that there is no cover charges for both discos as far as I have been there.

My personal liking for the place... go down after work (Mon to Thur) or Sun cos Fri and Sat are full of Siam Kias. Have a thai dinner of Tomyam...etc etc.. sit at the few coffeeshops or snack bars inside the complex.. there are bound to be some eye catching Bu yings... nonetheless dun think tat every bu yings there can be tackle or trying to be funny with them :) If you want to hanky panky... go to discos and find them there as majority FL are there.

After dinner, have some warming up beers before proceeding to the selected discos. Personally for me i prefer the one at the basement cos it plays a mixture of thai, english, chinese, hokkien and cantonese songs.. not bad...well.. each to their own likings... as I have been regularly going there since 1998.

It's a nice place (think only thai hangout) for those thai lovers... relaxing place for beers, thai food, thai smell, bu yings.... especially the case whereby there are no Ang Mos which I have racism against them...hahahaha

There are also many saloons where you can get your hair cut and head massage by bu yings.. the other head i have not done before... hahaha

There are aplenty of FL inside the discos... the troublesome part here is you need to approach them.. they are unlike those making their trade at orchard towers. I remember there are few occassions where i sat drinking at the snack bar insde the comples when bu yings approached me.. Think must be the boss of the snack bar called them.. hahaha well.. :) i have tried twice only in my entire history there. I paid for hotels and service $50 for overnight. As for contacts.. I have lost contacts of them for a long time. Sorry to those brothers who requested.. apologies.

Till now my day spent there are mostly on weekdays after work... go after work... scout around for familiar faces to acknowledge... head to the Singapore Pools at 2nd floor try abit luck 1st.. haha.. then go to Saloon to relax..wash hair and head and some shoulder massage.. then for dinner with tomyam and beer... stomach full and shiok head to the preferred disco.. normally the thai bu ying live show starts at abt 9-10pm cos i seldom look at time when inside... order beer.. and njoys.. as for FL ...well... each to his own likings cheers.

The one at the 2nd level do have cover charge on certain days. Hope they have abolished the charges, didn't go for few weeks already.

If I can recall.. last time there is cover charge for the disco at 2nd level on Saturdays.. unless if you are a regular and when u bring ur friends in, the bounce won't stop u. As I have been patronising the basement level disco for sometime already... there is one particular minus point for the basement disco is that u have to buy flowers at least $10 for the pretty dancers performing on the stage if u want them to come over to seat with you. And when the bu yings come over, they will tend to order drinks so thats another $10.. haha.. and as far as I knw most of these dancers arem't FL from the discos cos I found out that they are bonded by contracts to perform and not do FL. Pity that they don't have off days too. So come here work for a very very short period then flew back to Thailand then flew back again... correct me if i am wrong for bro who have sexplored them before.. hahaha

However, i am not really tempted by the dancers because personally i would rather spent on live firing then drinks and flowers... hahaha.. of cos if $ is not the importance then nothing else really matters..

I remember there is one or two massage parlours at the Golden Mile Towers (GMT) which is linked by a passageway from Golden Mile Complex (GMC) at the basement where the disco is located. 2 years back i went to one of the massage parlour which is also located at the basement level of GMT... hahaha.. went in ... specifically ask for a thai masseuse who can 'song kun', our so call jua gen aka massage dicky... recep recommend me one... tink cover charge is probably $32 (long time never go massage there) haha.. in came a fair and short thai lady, pretty old about late 30s. Massage body only for about 10-15 mins then the rest are spent on my dicky.. awhilw pain awhile shiok... overall still pain and it is supposed to be pain.. then finished off with a smooth and powerful ejaculation... cost me $50...

Not sure now still have such service there... since this tread revokes back my old memories... hahaha.. i will go there sexplore again..

Generally I believed alot of people would not fancy hanging out at the GMC unless you are working there. There is not much in terms of commercial sex aspect as compared to Orchard Towers (OT). Feedbacks from most of my kakis whom I brought there, they do not like the 'Thai' smell especially... hahaha.. what the hack.. of cos they do not have the so call 'Thai blood' flowing inside their bodies whereby I believed the bros who cares to visit regularly to GMC are all sexmerised by Thai-culture :)

Happen to drop by for lunch from office during lunch hours and jalan jalan along the 1st and 2nd level... its early afternoon hours so nothing much to see except for some siam bu hanging inside a pinkish lighting enclosed drinking house at 1st level.. saw one quite fair with big boobs and in a one piece skirt revealing her sexy legs. thought of going over for a drink but walked on to behind and saw someother siam bu.. think is still early.. the real gems not out yet. hahaha...

after reading so much about this place, i've decided to gif this place a visit yesterday nite wif my friend......... reach there around 9.20pm.......... was rather dead! thought siao liao kanna dua........ but since here liao so decided to get at least a beer to cool down. HOwever i m soon left amazed by the SUPERB performace from the live band. WAH LAO eh....... pretty sexy good vocal etc..... oh man!!! they are beauties and their skin is PERFECT.... guess if someone put an ant on their skin i guess the ant would slide down ..... However, if you been there regularly or long enough, there are some groups of bu yings who are working elsewhere in Singapore who do visits the discos often in their own small group of bu yings.. If managed to spot them, tried get close and make eye contacts and then slowly drink with them and chit chat.. actually thai ppl are friendly and easily approachable.. especially if you can speak a few words if thai... it can do many wonders ;p

Its true that not really many people will like going to the place. I am really sorry that you and ur frd din stay long. Long long ago.. wat you have experience was exactly wat I went through together with one of my buddy.. hahaha.. we 2 sotong young chinese chaps just went there to c c look look and decided to have tomyam and beer. Eventually got to know some people working there and the rest is history for. Perhaps its down to fate and luck to get acquainted and get used to some places. Other than that perhaps one day you can go there to have tomyam and tried drinking for awhile at those coffeeshops in the complez or get urself a haircut or wash hair at the thai salons? Tink got to get some thai feeling going 1st.. hahaha

The old uncle TCS actor you mentioned is probably my friend Tommy Wong (Wong Cheong Lai) AKA Ah Bao of coffee shop fame. I was there the same night, at his invitation. He was there with some tour agent friends for drinks and invited me, whom i was first time there. Personally i'm a big fan of Thai puying since i work in Thailand most of the time, and speak some Thai. i agree that the singers are super chio by Sg standards (though mediocre compared to those u find in some places in Bangkok). Since then i've been there a few times, mostly alone. Asides the DJ you can also befriend the long hair drummer who will introduce girls to you. Just have to bring a beer, go to them and ask them to your table. They're friendly and speak some English. The drummer's - Koong. The PR/dancers are all also very friendly too, most speak English; try Wa wa or Gick; both SYT. All you need to do is offer them a drink, thus far, no tips involved for me to chat, hug and rabba abit. Havent ask them for bonking prices yet. :P Thus far i've picked up some mobile numbers of the girls including a singer gigi. Planning to ask them out later, take it slow and we'll see :)

Went to check out this thai disco with a fren. went there about 10pm but there wasnt many people around. saw a few chio girls at the bar counter. one wearing white with a jacket and the other wearing black.

we were sitting near the toilet so can always see chio bu going there. there were some really chio ones smile at us when they went to the toilet. thought they were FLs but later realised they are PR cum disco dancers. the one with the jacket took off her jacket when she went on stage to dance. wow! her body damn solid and she is really pretty too.

the atmosphere there is not bad and the band quite ok. overall quite good entertainment. the best time to go should be about 11pm when the live band starts to play and the crowd starts coming in. didnt see any FL though.

On July 22nd , China Doll will be having a so called concert here. Should be interesting.

Management should consider having a revamp. try going on sunday and

I finally found the precious time to visit the Thai Disco at 2nd level on the eve of new year after been 'isolating' myself for more the 6 months due to some family problem. Went to the disco after having a sumptuous thai tomyam dinner inside the complex plus a few bottles of beer with some old thai frens who set up shops inside the complex. The disco have been totally renovated and layout have all changed. If you sit nearer to the stage it will be very crowded whereas it more spacious behind which is nearer to the entrance/exit.
I chose to avoid the crowded portion though further away from the stage. I was drinking alone when a thai chick approached me. Told me she juz arrived for holiday for a week so bought her 2 glass of drinks and chit chat. My thai still half pass six but i managed to interact well enough with my bit pieces of thai..haha
Managed to ruba ruba here bit there bit thought she's pretty fleshy. Did hint to me that she is willing to spend the nite with me. Nonetheless I am not in the mood due to my family problem which was blogging my mind and mood.. Sigh.. Finished my drink slightly after midnite and headed straight home.
Overall I would say that the newly renovated disco is nice (to me i mean)

Quite a nice place for thai lovers, some of the girls (most) can't really
understand english well. Waitress surpising can speak chinese. Down there
HH is a big price diff, chivas 110 nett at HH and 170 nett at norm & 5

Quite crowded yesterday, thought it will be quiet....

Got quite a lot of chio PR there at the moment ... saw one my type went over and ask her to come sit with me. normally have to buy ladies drink and one time is 2 shots at $12 per shot...not sure what it is but i think it's gin tonic or something... like those places at joo chiat, you get to hug and fondle the girl once you buy them ladies drink.

the quality of girls (those PR) appeared to be better than those at joo chiat ..but then maybe it's because i like thai more than vietnamese...

inaddition, thai disco is less sleazy and atmosphere is better (after their renovation) compared to those pubs at JC.

Have been to the Thai Disco on the 2nd floor a few times but I find that the girls (those PR) there seldom will approach me. They tend to stick to their regular customers unless you ask them over.

So I decided to try the disco at the basement. Interior is abit outdated compared to the disco on the 2nd floor and I believe there are no TVs to show live soccer matches so it can get quite boring when the live band stops playing. Otherwise concept is about the same as the disco upstairs.

there are some poles in the middle of the establishment for girls to perform pole dancing. However, I think there is only one show per night at about 1230am. the pole dancing is nothing spectacular.

Business here is quite slow so once you enter the disco, the waiters will ask you to get your drinks. For the disco upstair, the waiters seldom bother you.

Drinks here are also cheaper. Bacardi breezer on 2nd floor disco cost $13 per bottle while at the basement only cost $10. I suppose beers and other liquor are also cheaper.

There are not as many PRs here compared to the disco upstair. In terms of quality, there are more beautiful ones upstair.

Was sitting there checking out the girls for about 45mins and then a girl approached me. told me she was a coyote dancer back in bkk. She is one of the better looking ones there with fair skin and good size boobs. She asked me to buy her a drink, tequila pop at $20 per shot which I think it's quite ex.
In total I bought her 2 drinks which cost me $40. And i left without any rabba :rolleyes: A bit wasted considering you can get to do much more in JC pubs for $20 tips.

Before I leave the place, she asked for my number and had called me up for "dinner". :D

The Clarke Quay pub is called Geographer Bar opposite Este on the 2nd level. Another place is Babyface 3rd level (former Centro).

Previous Thai Disco Band's now disperse. Band can be found in Kolat, Thailand and Singers dispersed in Some Parts of Thailand.

Bare with it on the PR in Live Impact as they're now bring some dancers from Thailand to dance.

I think 1 of the MAIN reason should be due to the following:
1. Decors
2. Sound system really needs upgrading
3. Limited chicks that can make it one..

Heard level 1, new disco, same boss as the 2nd floor one, now haven't open, the dancers are already 'Q' ing in BKK waiting to come SG. Heard, this time round, the dancers are here for 3 months and will be dancing on the stage..

sources told me that the thai disco below (opp lai lai) is to be a look toong (country music) joint. reason being they want the thai disco upstairs to cater more to locals after the reno.

both are owned by "peuan thai" management... they run the supermarket and also bring in black cat, mekong and singha beer.

There is no Live Band at the moment. I think they only engage Dancers from Bkk to perform on stage at the moment. If crowds respond are good then they will consider bringing Live Band. The Collection Band will have to standby if there is need to perform at the 1st floor new Thai Hip Hop Disco.

Live impact, CITY cats.. getting lousy.. Live impact itself is like shit... how can u keep letting your waiters and guests going up to sing?? The Bassiest Ah Mai, only know how to keep singing Bird's songs and Beyond's Hai kuo tian kong..... the guy singer Mr C, got a 18 year old GF , whom is giving him problems.. so he also now sing damm suck...

Dag Thai is JUST OK nia.... nothing SPECTACULAR...

Nova Band... i really don't know why they change all the girls... the last batch was great... now the new girls... are NOT PRETTY.
The drummer is actually the BEST singer out of the lot!!.. even the band leader the guitar player is not there too...
But Nova band tends to be LAZY... once they see singers from thai disco comes to geographer... they will ask them to sing....
But then again.. there are the thai band that plays the most thai songs.... but i am getting sick of all the bird tongchai songs they keep singing...

Thai Disco... i really think they are singing to those people who hang them flowers... if i sit near the old stage, i can NEVER EVER hear the girls singing... they seems to be humming their way thru. I think they are WAY WAY OVERRATED..

Thai Disco (Purn Thai Disco)
Currently the biggest in terms of area. Recently renovated. The three bros of Yen Investment (aka Purn Thai) have re-positioned it to cater for the local Singaporean crowd. That's why like bro Ah Dez say, you get 2 Thai songs out of every 10 songs sung. In fact, nowadays, you will be hard pressed to see many of the old timers there, many have gone off to greener pastures. With the opening of Hip Hop below, expect to see more promotions on Chivas as they have signed contract with them. I believe they will have a special promotion end of this month for Chivas @ $140 nett (heard from the grapevines). Great draw if you into lots of MILFs.

Thai Hip Hop
The smallest in floor area in the GM hangouts. Target market is the lower echelons in GM. Explains why the old Thai Disco furnishings have gone down there. For bros who are sick of the band singing out of tune Chinese/Hokkien/English songs, then give Thai Disco a miss and head down here. Band sings only Thai songs when they alternate their sets there. The three brothers are working with Johnnie Walker in this outlet 2 bottles $199 nett this month.

Dag Thai
Dated ambience, inferior sound system that only goes LOUD. Personally I like this band because my friend was the agent and whenever we're there, they'll sing lots of Thai songs. However, Pepper the malai seller keeps making you buy garlands for the singers. With the recent openings and renovations, Dag Thai is probably under pressure to renovate. Quality of dancers fluctuate. I remember there was one stage where there were Vietnamese...

J-Dee Disco
I go there quite a lot nowadays cos it's new and nicely renovated. Located on 1st floor (behind big CD shop), this club recently opened and hungry for business. Boss is open to feedback, My friends and I have spoken to him and suggested he focus more on Thai than the local market. In fact local market need not mean Chinese songs. If I wanna hear Chinese songs, I won't go GM. Band coming end month. Whiskies are very affordable here. As for the band, I'll reserve comments until I hear them... Watch this space...

Just a note, GM is a great place to have fun... But maybe is wise before jumping into relationships there. Do so with your eyes open...

If there's interest in the KTV scene there, just indicate, maybe I can do another 2 satang's worth review.

Opposite Dag Thai next to Hair Salon called NICE BY TAEN
Recently changed management. Owned by a gay couple. But straight men need not worry for they are totally devoted to each other. Gem in the making cos from midday onwards, the place is sometimes filled with many many pooyings. By 9pm onwards, they suddenly disappear... Doesn't take a genius to realise that they're not early birds who have gone home to do their nails and go to bed... The song selection is from a computerised selection, but last update is probably beginning of the year. Pooyings range from the occassional SYT to the majority of MILFs. Downside to this place is the airconditioning is good in winter (blows hot air). For those that really like their whiskies with Singha brand soda water, this is the joint to go to. Beers are by bottles ($6 - $8).

Beer Thai
Dark ambience, food is good as owner Mr. Somsak is a consultant chef with the Big Splash seafood place. Opens from lunch till late. This unit is on the 1st floor and next door to Hip Hop. Sound system sucks. You can't buy beers by bottles here (they serve them in minimum of 2 bottles which they pour in jugs and charge $20 each for their Heinekens). I don't particularly like this place cos the beers are not freezing cold. During lunchtime, you can go there and on numerous occasions able to find GL Cat 40 WLs having lunch there, perhaps good for Cat40 regulars to go there and figure out which house and which numbers they are. Pooyings there earn a living making $0.50 per bottle of beer they sell. Considering they're here to work for 2 weeks, I got feeling they don't make their money's worth if they merely sell beers.

Coffee Shop KTV with pink lights on 1st floor
I have personally only had beers there once and so perhaps my review will not be too accurate... Perhaps Bro Popcorn_M3 can enlighten us on this joint. Here's what I know. Lots of pooyings congregate there as many an old retiree who's withdrawn their CPF like to congregate there to do charity work by engaging in income distribution. Rumour has it that if you want to see magic, you go there. Many a retiree have seen their CPF money 'Gone In 60 Seconds'. Occasional SYT will appear under the tutelage of Ms. Pook who is one of the seniors there. If you like a pooying there, you can easily ask them to follow you to another joint for drinks (minimum drinks in the joint may be applicable). Beers by the bottle.

Purn Rao Karaoke
The biggest Karaoke joint and the only one with VIP rooms (4). Used to be owned by Purn Thai (Thai Friends), ownership officially changed late last year to Purn Rao (Our Friends). For those who want a relaxing drink, this joint is not too bad. One pool table which is well utilized with players of varying standards. It has about 8 round tables and 2 sofa tables in the main hall. Computerised song selection for Thai songs, selected Chinese and English songs on VCDs available. Purn Rao has always had Thai singers who sing on 2 week stints. On occasion, gems may be found, but usually MILFs. Full selection of alcohol in this joint. Last I was there, liquor prices were same as the disco. Beers are more expensive than those of the other karaokes obviously because of higher overheads. Frequented by quite a few MILFs, mainly mia farangs. On occasions, Spring HC girls may also show up for drinks there. WARNING: BEWARE OF OWNER. EXTENDED EXPOSURE CAN BE DAMAGING TO YOUR HEALTH AND WALLET!!!

Zhen Zhen Pub
Owned in tandem by one of the GM personalitieshis girlfriend, this joint is a small shop unit that is on the 2nd floor of GM. It is in a row with two others (review below). Relatively nice joint with computerized system but limited new songs. Pooyings will pour drinks for you, currently one MILF there. Generally beers sold here Tiger $7, Heineken $8. You can go downstairs and take girl from pink light shop (review above) for quiet drinks there.

Kob Sai Chun
Green neon lights welcome you to this other one unit joint. Songs are probably the best here as the owner has a regular customer in bro farark who will either supply VCDs bought from Thailand or she will get requests to burn onto her computerized system. Beers are most expensive amongst the single unit joints with Heinekens going for $9 and Tigers for $8. Tiger Draft available. Especially favoured by masseurs from Goldfinger.

Jane Jira
Just next door to Kob Sai Chun. Open concept similar to those downstairs. Sound system not great, but owner is an affable chap. Avoid payday weekends as the place will be packed out. I believe this place has the cheapest beer amongst the 2nd level KTVs. If you don’t care about people seeing you sing, this joint will be alright for you. I personally like the Kanom Jin here. Masseurs like to go there occasionally as well.

Well, please note that there are more joints than mentioned above. But I it is only fair for me to review those that either I’ve been or seen (shop with pink sign). So hope this is helpful. Other bros who know the other joints, feel free to add to the spice and adventure of GM…

Hello bro, I fully agreed with Bro Farark! There is no free lunch especially to these Thai Singers! U need to invest 1st then u get your profit but even if u have invested, it is not guarantee u will get it either! At the end of the day, money, time and luck counts! Just go there and enjoy yourself and u will go back home happy if not u will go back home having a big headache at the end of the day!

Also, these singers look good only at nite when they are having make-up, during the day, u will see the different totally and u will have a big surprised when u see them during the day! Band arrived last night. Moved in their costumes (at least 20 cartons). They will play from Friday onwards. Grand opening this Friday... 2 JW blacks for $180 nett...

The place was packed tonight. The band made their debut tonight. 3 pooyings and 2 male singers (I think). With regards to the pooyings, not too bad at all.

Cracked lots of jokes, some RA. Good selection of Thai and English songs, thank goodness they still haven't figured out the Chinese songs yet (as admitted by one of the male singers cum comedian). Must talk to boss to see if can minimise it.

Of the three gers, one is a singer from a band formerly playing in Purn Thai Disco.

On a whole, the place was totally packed out... Had to make a quick exit cos of early day tomorrow.

Friday night review of Thai disco and thai Hip hop and a little bit of J dee as i didnt really drink there

J dee - grand opening out.flowers everywhere etc etc.went in at 1030.hell the place was pack like sardines.not a single table available.even open bottle they also cant find a seat for you.

come fucking early for j dee or reserve a table.i didnt stick around long but j dee has a different band from thai disco.lots of thai girls and lots of people.drinks price...unknown.

thai disco - huge area.spacious.singha 69 for 3 jars.

I went in at 1030 and crowd was not that bad with almost 1/2 tables occupied.

crowd started to pour in only around 1130.only left around maybe 3 or 4 ulu tables not taken.Find that all the thai girls are being tapao by fellow guys before coming to thai disco so no chace to pick up any singles or its not my day.:D

band play twice during my visit.an interval of around one hour rest.sing a mix of thai and chinese.

overall.not a bad place to drink and listen to some thai music with a good crowd.

Lastly thai hip hop - never never ever come on friday....went in at 11 cause no space at j dee and wanted to try out the place for the first time.

Deco wasnt that bad.around 3/8 of the tables occupied.thai band only sings thai songs but left at around 1130 and didnt come back at all.worse still the crowd was not pouring in but leaving the place at 12.

in the end i can count that only around 6 tables are occupied by 1215.crowd was really very bad in thai hip hop friday night.

However I will be in Thai Hip Hop tonight for their grand opening as I was lucky enough to get an invitation card from Purn Thai. Taxi and Sueur will be there too tonight.

Sawatdee Konthai is not @ Golden Mile Complex, but at Golden Mile Tower. It's been there for quite a while already. Haven't been there, so no FR on it, except that I heard it can get quite rowdy.

J dee - grand opening out.flowers everywhere etc etc.went in at 1030.hell the place was pack like sardines.not a single table available.even open bottle they also cant find a seat for you.

come fucking early for j dee or reserve a table.i didnt stick around long but j dee has a different band from thai disco.lots of thai girls and lots of people.drinks price...unknown.

Sorry you couldn't get a table, but from my observation, most of the tables were taken by GM regulars and many were reserved by management for them. I would say 80% of the tables were taken off the available list even before Friday. I had my table booked on Wed. I don't think it will be like that everyday though, now that there's 4 drinking holes there...

Lastly thai hip hop - never never ever come on friday....went in at 11 cause no space at j dee and wanted to try out the place for the first time.

I think the Friday night thingy is a spillover effect from the J-Dee opening. Many of the regulars who couldn't get a table for one reason or another, would have no choice but to go to Hip Hop. The 11.30pm phenomenon you talked about for Purn Thai Disco is pretty much got to do with the band performing their set. Most regulars there would not go for the earlier sets as the place isn't warmed up yet. the set nearing 12 is believed to be their best set.
