Thanks for the interesting post bro
Understand where you coming from but still think the club needs to try and work harder on getting some sort of reasonable value for their top players who 'plan' to leave on a free, especially since FSG appear quite tight on spending for new players
All signs pointed to TAA 'planning' to leave on a free when he did not agree to a 6 year contract and signed on a 4 year contract instead
The club should have learned from the 2 shits Mcmanaman and Owen leaving on free or thereabouts
Oh and we have sold a player for a huge sum (albeit not a scouser) before in Coutinho to Barca for an initial £105 million rising to £142 million

Cashing in 2 seasons ago meant selling him in the summer of 2022. That's the season after we won the League cup and FA cups (thanks to Minamino), losing the league by 1 point to Man City and losing the CL final to Real Madrid (where our fans were locked out). The season where we were aiming for the Quadruple. I can't see how Liverpool will survive the backlash from the fans from selling a Scouser after such a wonderful season.
Liverpool always have a difficult time on transfers with Scouse players. When they leave, the most commonly acceptable reason is they do not get enough playing time and they are leaving to a lesser team to play more. Like Stephen Warnock.
If the Scouse player is a regular starting 11, even if we receive a big offer, it's hard for the club to sell a local boy. Steve Mcmanaman left on a free, Owen for £8m pounds, TAA on a free. Gerrard put in a transfer request but thankfully didn't leave. I can't recall which regular starting 11 player we had sold for a big fee. I think the club's hands are tied when it comes to TAA.
