The issue of Salah fasting over this critical period now...think this fasting factor might be another reason to explain his drop off...another factor might be Trent's injury because I think Trent's exquisite balls definitely helped Mo in quite a few of his goals Anyways I think Salah would probably have finished Ramadan before our next game or thereabouts so hopefully he shall get back more energy, that and Trent's return as well, hopefully YNWA |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Surprised no posts on Trent's 'move' to Madrid which is currently creating a huge furore in scouser land
![]() I know hindsight is 20/20 but if we would have cashed in 2 years ago we probably wouldn’t have been any worse off as a team and would have received north of £100m for Trent. I can understand him wanting to try something new but its the walking out on a free that’s frustrating ![]() The problem for me isn't with Trent, it's with the club for allowing a situation like this when we have 3 top players out of contract. That's why I find it hard to single out Trent and make out like this is all on him, when it's clearly not. It can't be a coincidence that the club's 3 most valuable and most expensive employees are all in the exact same contractual position. Why have we allowed 3 of our best players to go into their final year of contract? I thought top clubs were meant to do their utmost to keep such players or at the very least get a good sum in transfer fees. Fingers crossed 🤞 this current Trent uproar saga does not distract and disturb our final 9 PL games and we cross the final line without much difficulty |

I can understand why he is leaving. Liverpool didn't buy any significant players last season. We haphazardly replaced our midfield by signing Szobozlai, McAllister, Endo and Gravenbech within 2 windows. The club isnt building the necessary squad depth and squad quality to sustain a challenge across 4 competitions. I think we should thank TAA for his wonderful contribution over the years. Corner taken quickly is the best Anfield goal I have ever seen. Significance of the impact from the goal... Barcelona collapsed mentally after that, sheer unexpected brilliance to see the tactical advantage.

I dun think FSG did anything wrong. The management thought they can make him sign a new contract two years ago but Trent didn't. I think it was him playing out Liverpool.

Good riddance to Taa...A RB who can't defend for nuts! Bradley is anytime a better defender than him.

Cashing in 2 seasons ago meant selling him in the summer of 2022. That's the season after we won the League cup and FA cups (thanks to Minamino), losing the league by 1 point to Man City and losing the CL final to Real Madrid (where our fans were locked out). The season where we were aiming for the Quadruple. I can't see how Liverpool will survive the backlash from the fans from selling a Scouser after such a wonderful season. Liverpool always have a difficult time on transfers with Scouse players. When they leave, the most commonly acceptable reason is they do not get enough playing time and they are leaving to a lesser team to play more. Like Stephen Warnock. If the Scouse player is a regular starting 11, even if we receive a big offer, it's hard for the club to sell a local boy. Steve Mcmanaman left on a free, Owen for £8m pounds, TAA on a free. Gerrard put in a transfer request but thankfully didn't leave. I can't recall which regular starting 11 player we had sold for a big fee. I think the club's hands are tied when it comes to TAA.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
One solution to TAA's departure will be to bring back Neco Williams from Nottingham Forest. He's from our academy and will be considered home grown and club grown.
In the Premier League for Forest, he has played 31 games (22/23), 26 games (23/24) and 25 games for them this season as their right back. He also marked Salah out of the game against us when he played as their leftback. He joined our academy at 6 years old. He turned 24 next month and has played about 100 EPL games. He played in 13 EPL games for us. Basically his progress with us was impeded by TAA's rise. Left with 1 year on his current Forest deal so the transfer fee will be reasonable.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Thanks for the interesting post bro
Understand where you coming from but still think the club needs to try and work harder on getting some sort of reasonable value for their top players who 'plan' to leave on a free, especially since FSG appear quite tight on spending for new players All signs pointed to TAA 'planning' to leave on a free when he did not agree to a 6 year contract and signed on a 4 year contract instead The club should have learned from the 2 shits Mcmanaman and Owen leaving on free or thereabouts Oh and we have sold a player for a huge sum (albeit not a scouser) before in Coutinho to Barca for an initial £105 million rising to £142 million Quote:

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Just heard a hilarious suggestion on social media with regards TAA moving to Madrid next season on a free
Scouser recommended making a huge banner for the final game of the season at Anfield and unveil it big big for the everyone to see YOU NOW WALK ALONE TRENT ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Jose Enrique, Kolo Toure, Emre Can, Daniel Sturridge, Alberto Moreno, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, Georgino Wijnaldum, Divork Origi, Ben Woodburn, Sheyi Ono, Lorius Karius, James Milner, Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, Adrian (goalkeeper). Letting good players leave seem to be the trend. I'm sure we could have squeezed some transfer fee out of these players right? https://www.lfchistory.net/transfers/byclub/517 When FSG took over, they said they will use the Moneyball method to discover up and coming players and sell them at their peak to generate more funds for the club. Under Klopp we didn't do that. Klopp was too loyal to the players. Lallana even got benched during the last few months and was given a grand sending off. Coutinho was an unusual case because he wanted to leave and we squeezed Barcelona. Right now, the person quietly observing this is Konate whose contract ends in June 2026. Got rumours linking him to PSG. If he doesn't send a contract extension this summer and next summer is the World Cup, we will face all sort of speculation again next season. The talk of Salah, VVD and TAA has been very irritating this season.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Not sure Gravenberch and MacAllister injury serious after International Break.
Merseyside derby is not going to be easy game although Everton played FA Cup. Anyway there is a title to be won and hope the players will geared up.
