how much is the ticket, it's depending on the ferry operator and which money changer that you buy. but it won't be more than $30.. if u buy the one at $30 or lesser, there's no more terminal tax that you need to pay.. but if you bought the one at Rp165k or $17 (sindo ferry or batamfast for harbourbay), you still have to pay terminal tax at ferry operator ticket counter when collecting boarding pass. but sum amount will be same also.. won't make any difference.

It is not 100% accurate,but it shldnt be too far.The old listing post can no longer be Edited,so i am starting a new one just to update it ONCE a month. I have also taken down some words due to number of words in a post limitation.

Planet Disco - at Planet Holiday Hotel. The smallest among these 3. Seedy and dark, not really recommended if one does not feel comfortable in a place with ill reputation.

Planet 3 ("Planet Tiga") - near Jodoh. Nice place and well patronized, but icy aircondition.

Ozone Disco - Closed (unverified,known to be the worst)


5. Live Music

Do not leave your drinks unattended at these places. A few expats have been drugged & robbed.Keep your HP secured.

Noname – Located on the ground floor of the Harmoni Hotel is a popular live music venue for locals and expats. Most of the acts are flown in from Jakarta and one of the best place to meet local ladies.

Java Pub – just reopened, and has live music on Friday & Saturday. Older crowd, (like Jaya pub JKT but smaller) Comfortable place to hang out.

Bingo’s Pub – just opened and has live music on Friday’s & Saturdays. Good place, nice staff and occasional celebrity entertainers popping in for a song or jam. A nice alternative to the usual very loud rap / trance pubs.

Sullivans – Used to be Ria Rita and has live music on the weekends. Mostly a local crowd. Across the street from the side entrance of Lusys (helps to speak Bahasa – mostly local gals).

Hehehe...who knows,i may stay another night,but that is subject to hotel/ferry availability and also the Ang Bao i am going to take from you,if it can cover my hotel for another night...lol *joking*

I am not sure about speakers or if you are carrying bulky item back,but the weight wise should not be an issue. At most time,i always carry more than 6kg of items back from Batam to Sillypore...i also buy handful of electronic items too. The thing is most of what i buy arent bulky. If the size is of a small suit case,then i believe it shouldnt be a problem,eg a carton box size of Indomie instant noodle.

Oh my! i seriously need to thank you for this information...after reading your post then i know i cannot buy S$600 or more worth of items from Batam to Sillypore. I practically exceed that amount in almost every trip...lol. Shall need to watch my spending from now onward.

Hmm....for the real branded electronic items,yes...Sillypore may be a bit cheaper...but not for the parallel imported electronic goods and China branded stuffs. I checked and compared with Sillypore China Town and Sim Lim Sq,Lucky Plaza electronic stuffs are cheaper,hehehe...as in after bargained. Its only a little bit more expensive than wholesale prices in China's whole sale vendors,but the good thing is i dont need to purchase these electronic items i wish to buy in bulks. So i am guaranteed to know which are the better quality goods and which arent. Eg. 8 GB micro SD card at 50k-60k.

Here's my 2nd FR to Batam. Headed over to Batam on Sat, supposed to go with camp mates but all put aeroplane last min so headed alone. 9.40 Ferry

Followed Bro Nono's guide and headed to Kaha to book a hotel. Big thanks to bro Nono. Luckily Formosa wasn't full, headed to Formosa to check in before going to Nagoya Hill for lunch. As I was going to meet some girls I met online, didn't want to book any girls. After lunch, headed to buy some keropok before heading back to hotel for wifi and to decide on where to meet up with my friends from online. Had some time to spare and decided to go to king's. Massage was soso, forgot the number of the girl i chose but well. Pictures are DECEIVING! She did pop the GQ and immediately quote me 600k, i offered 300k and she declined so didn't get any.

At about 4pm, met the girl and had coffee at Vienna(level 1 Formosa Hotel). She asked if I wanted to join her friends and her for dinner but was quite skeptical so i declined and jio-ed another girl out for dinner.
