Yes, while it may be arguably biased, and may suggest that husbands don't do as much as their wives in the care of their baby, even in couples where the husbands helps out, I'm inclined to think that the woman's maternal instincts kick into overdrive putting sex down the priority list until maybe some months or years later, or maybe her libido never returns. (I have seen this in real life couples I know.) After finishing her maternal leave and returning to work, working hard to catch up on her stalled career path can also make her exhausted hence killing off the libido. The husband may also find himself working harder and longer due to parenthood.

Many parenting articles say that in the first few years of a child's life, up to about 3 to 4 years, most parents will sleep-deprived due to the baby. Babies and even toddlers can awake at night and cry. Some experts suggest a theory that infants (up to 1 year old) cry at night to stop/disrupt parents having sex so as to not produce a sibling too soon so that it gets sole attention and more resources.

Being human beings does not make us different from other species in the natural world where in many species that produce a litter of young, there is competition between the young for survival, a matter of survival of the fittest. Some young will die off as cruel as it sounds.

Just for information, I know for a fact that in Australia the application for a marriage certificate cost about $60 whereas the simplest and cheapest divorce application that has no asset division lodged at the family court costs at least 10 times more.

chanellno5 post is one of the many reason, main reason why ppl (man and woman) stray is because they don't get what they want at home. It can be anything from material, sexual, care, love etc. Am not going to point finger whose at fault. Man and woman both have needs, what they can't get at home, they look elsewhere.

Empathize with you too, dear sis chanellno5 on yr unhappy marital situation of not getting to enjoy sex wif yr husband as you deserve or are entitled too ...You're are one of the rare good wifeys wif sexual needs tat need to be fulfilled like all of us do whether we are husbands or wives...human beings whether male or female need sex which is an impt ingredient of a marriage...now & then. But normally the reverse situation is more true tat most wifeys refuse sex to their husbands rather than the other way round...but of cos there are cases like the sis here, whose husbands are the ones refusing sex to their wifeys !..sigh

For cases like sis chanellno5 whose husbands are denying their wives their conjugal rights in marriage..there could be 2 main reasons which hopefully would help the sis analize her problem wif her husband

1) He has found some1 else more attractive or loving meeting his sexual needs...so he has no more sexual need from his wife inspite of his wife being very attractive herself...this may be a case of "familiarity breeds contempt"...guys as always like to hv more varieties & easily fall to the lure of other women..
2) He may be greatly stressed by problems @ work & in the home...so there is no desire to hv sex wif anyone...tis may be the case for tis sis
3) Very unlikely tat he simply just ain't interested in sex wif anyone

Yes u are spot on. Sometimes I wionder why a normal guy like him don't need sex anymore. My partners I had range from single, attached to married but we all know the rule of being in this game. Safety wise, I am always careful , with protection.

Maybe he found someone more attractive but I am very confident of myself as well. so this is a puzzle I can never solve.

There was a time where I really sibei sian with her. So I suddenly stopped asking for sex. After a few weeks, she sense it n have the cheek to ask me why I stopped asking for sex?!?!? I almost blow my top.....

I can feel u. I have a very close female friend who even intro her friend to me, hoping that we can work out something. But too bad, her friend n me are from different world. Close friend thought of feeding my needs, but she happily married so didn't want to take any chance. Even if she give, I don't think I will take it.
