hmm, tbh it’s not just about if they are “professional”, it’s also about value. like bros who visit them will know how much they are charging with some of them “recommending” at least 1.5 hrs for first timers.

I agree that it’s each man to their own. In my experience, I’ve served a number of prodommes who have private play dungeons and present themselves as professional. The locals are all quite transparent and have no sense of what it means to be in a ds relationship and play play. They are only after the financial rewards. I’m better suited support the foreign dommes at least I know it’s purely transactional and not fed bs lies and falsehoods. But that’s just my experiences. I hope others fare better but local dommes are just playing and don’t care about their subs. Not a second thought for our well being imo

I typically go for 60 minutes for a first session because if the session doesn't hit the right spot for me, I will know by latest 15 minutes in and would then want it to end by at most 60 minutes. That's not a hard rule for me e.g. I sometimes break it for visiting / overseas dommes who I don't often get to visit.

That said, 90 minutes is indeed less rushed, especially if the kinks you want involve a bit of set-up (rope-tying etc.). It gives both you and the domme some buffer time. You don't need 90 minutes to figure out whether a domme is good for you or not, but it does decrease the likelihood that any one session is too rushed. Session time management is actually an underrated skillset - not everyone has it in spades.
