Past occupations of WLs before Geylang

Just wanna put this here cos I always kaypoh about WL background before coming here. So far this is what I gathered from different WLs. Not my full list cos some WLs attitude too cold, won't say anything else

>Manicurist
this one like the most common for WLs. Seems like the easiest job to get

>Telecom engineer posted near Shenzhen. University-educated
Initially, I thought she was sacked from Huawei or what. But actually, cos COVID then her small telcom company clients all never pay up. Took one big loan to save company but to no avail. So end up in GL

>Factory programmer. Trained by company for her job.
Not really sure what she does cos too technical in Mandarin, but something to do with PCBs and stuffs. Apparently still got car and a "decent lifestyle" in China. Not sure what pushed her to GL, say is "secret" lol

>Legit tour guide turned escort lady. I think also University-educated
Basically in charge of managing tour groups from China to other countries. COVID came, travel went dead. Went ahead and became an escort lady providing both day & "night" services for individual client. Very funny person with a silly personality.

Quite independent woman, a bit distant from family. Only keep in contact with sister. Dated two guys before. Other stuffs say "confidential", just tell me to enjoy time with her can already...and don try anything else on her, she won't fall for it

Post-covid, business slumped too much. Despo to repay debts so GL here they come. The odd one out was she claimed to be victim of government corruption and was sort of "set up" which doomed her business, leaving her in sea of debt. You can criticise China govt all you want and she will gladly join you.

Life keep throwing challenges since turning adult, did all kinds of job to support her child. GL is just a place to maximise income to give her child and parents a better life. Tell me don't come Geylang, go find GF/wife for my own good, say really not worth it due to my young age.

>Hotel front desk staff
University-educated. A bit mysterious about her past. Never really shared what drove her to Geylang or how she got herself into sea of debt. Same like above, tell me don't come Geylang, go find GF/wife for my own good, say really not worth it due to my young age. Huge change in personality from her initial days to 5 months on the job...

A lot of Thai WLs i encountered like to say this. I guess it is just to stop customers from probing further or they understand me wrongly.

Another natural extension of the trade. Business decline because of competition. Then got opportunity to work in GL to support children. Husband ran away and left her to fend for herself.

Hairstylist/make up
Divorcee. Had to support child and had to work in GL because earning low at home. Wanted a better prospect for the child.

WL
But work in different countries.korea,Japan,taiwan Goes on visa run to different countries. Was cheated by pimp and got caught. Had a lot of debt to settle due to covid. GL is an opportunity to clear off debt and start afresh.

Property Agent/ insurance agent
Work to support boyfriend but got cheated. Left with nothing and came to GL to start a clean slate and restart life.

Do take these stories with many pinch of salt. I am merely retelling what was told to me by the WL. Could be true. Could be exaggerated to gain sympathy. Could be BS altogether. Not sure if any of you has been fed with similar stories.

There will be some truth for sure. For those who have the c-sec scar on the tummy you know had baby before. Life can indeed be very difficult and we should be grateful for the better life we have here.

I also kena before 2 more occupations not listed so far.

1) Farmer. PRC who grew up in countryside, wanted to give her family better life so come here trying to earn some capital.

Never believe what they tell you as they will only tell you part of the story. Just play along can already. If you send a PI to CSI their real past, you might be shell-shocked on why they are here.

As mentioned before, many of these PRC WLs are 绿茶妹, esp. those pretty ones are forced to come here with a dark past with a 不可告人的秘密 which can be so scary and shocking (comedic & ridiculous even) and unimaginable to our naive locals. These tragic incidents - some immoral or borderline criminal all started after China enter WTO in 2000 and created a new toxic culture ' 拜金主义盛行，财富成就一切' due to sudden capitalism explosion resulting in wealth disparity and miseries.

For these higher quality PRC WLs, don't be fooled by their sob stories appearing as victims e.g. husband get into gambling debts & divorced, parents in hospital need urgent medical fees, SMLJ get into accident sued by relatives la etc. So most are likely ranjiao BS and nothing to do with what really happened in reality.

Moreover, PRC is not a banana republic but a thriving powerful nation with many opportunities or social welfare programs to help those in financial hardships or need medical assistance. So all these issues can be always settled back home using all kinds of resources and assistance available, which begs the question, then why are they here?

For all you know some are the perpetrators whom have committed all kinds of heinous immoral acts back home (greed, vanity, cruelty, scheming on how to 坑人 end up tio 坑 themselves etc.) with a 不可告人的秘密 and now are getting their retribution 咎由自取 因果报应 . It's like a second chance to redeem themselves but a leopard will never change its spots. Else, who the fark and which prim and proper chiobu with a good character and well-educated, no matter what kind of hardship they face back home are willing and need to come all the way here to become a Cheekon (facing daily risks of being rawed, creampie etc.) which is so humiliating? Siao.

Read this difference between PRC women vs local SG Chinese women in romantic shrewdness and you will know why already.

1. I have met a Thai lady that is professional WL and also worked in KTV before coming to SG, and plans to continue working in Taiwan and Japan after finishing here. This lady straight up admit that she likes money and shopping, and wish to eventually buy land to build a house in Thailand. Ironically, despite her years of WL experience, she's not one of the popular WLs because her service does not include BBBJ, DFK, or DATY.

2. Met another Thai lady from the same house. On the first time we met, even before closing the door, she started telling me sob story about how she used to work as an accountant in a Japanese firm back in Thailand and has never worked as a WL before. Kinda strange why she felt the need to explain to me right away. She says she's only doing this work because her family was in debt, but after a few RTFs admitted that the debt is cleared but now she just likes the money. She's very popular so she's probably earning a lot.

3. Another Thai lady. Also a superstar WL, but from a different house. Worked as a preschool teacher, showed me photos from her workplace with the kids. Says that the teacher's pay in Thailand is terrible but now she's earning 12k a month.

Any bros know which girls I'm referring to for 2 and 3?

4. Another Thai lady from a different house. Helps out with family business back home, but now she wants money to start her own business. Broke up with her ex and then decided to go to a new environment to "start afresh", so came over to sg to work as WL.

5. I also met an escort from Vietnam of Chinese descent in JB, divorced 4 years ago with a 5 yo kid. Ex-hubby not paying child support.

One thing in common between these girls is that they all have various sob stories about how they are unwillingly doing this job because they need money, but somehow are able to spend $$$ on all sorts of clothes, shoes, or expensive perfumes.
