A fling with a clerk
HI everyone, this happened a while ago, and I am trying to recall this by memory. So here goes.
A few months ago, i got this contract job to work for a company in the East. The company is an SME so they have an admin HQ and an operations place. So on the first day, I went to the admin HQ to report to work at 8am. I was a little hang up by traffic so I reached at about 810am. When I reached there, I saw a young looking girl sitting at the conference room. She has long hair, big eyes and from the side of the table, I could see her long legs. She must have thought I was one of the staff so she smiled when our eyes met. I went to the HR and was told to go to the conference room. Cool. When I entered, I introduced myself and started some small talk. We were both there for our first day. Let’s call her Nicole (of course not her real name). That was her second job, and her place is really near our workplace. She was pursuing a degree in SIM and changed job so that her workload is lesser. She was previously working at an accounting firm. Anyway, the HR came, gave us some briefing on the rules and regulations, norms, lunch etc. And we were supposed to make our way to the operations office by ourselves. Since I drove, it became a natural choice for her to take my transport. As I did not have breakfast, I stop by a drive-thru which was nearby the admin HQ. We chatted quite a while in the car. She was attached, but the bf is always travelling to places like Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and each trip is about 4-7 days. So she was quite free a lot of times which also meant that she could study. We reached. I was the project manager for a short project and she was hired as the full time clerk for about 30 plus personnel, including me. On the first day, since we were new, the colleagues brought us to lunch. Strangely although there were a lot of tables, one for each personnel, a lot of times, the colleagues were not in. Her seat was in my department, which housed about 10 personnel, mostly on contracts like me. To be continued......
