Hi bros,

I am pretty worried now. About 7-8 years ago, i went to a brothel in GL (dun know if legal of not...uncle outside...use phone to call gal). The problem was then i was young and innocent...did not know about safe sex. Well to cut the story short, we had sex, oral was raw (i know it is not safe), but the normal sex was with condom. After that, after a few years...i switched to WL at HC...did sex with condom or oral with CD. But i am getting worried...very worried in fact. I had diarrohea last week, just a one day thing, ate loh mo tail, and it stopped....recently also got infected throat (saw doc, say infection because of sinus). I am losing my appetite, maybe because of my thoughts...but am really scared. I will go and have myself tested soon...fingers crossed nothing bad is going to happen..please...please...please. Any advice from bros...i know to go for test...just needed to get it off my chest.

Your symptoms do not neccessarily proved that you are HIV infected dou HIV carriers do have these symptoms because they could have low Viral Load and T-Cell (CD4) Counts thus vulnerable to the slightest infections.

There have been many studies of HIV transmission through oral sex. They have come to different conclusions. However, the following points are clear:
It is possible to get infected with HIV through oral sex. The risk is not zero.
The risk of HIV infection through oral sex is extremely low. It is much lower than for other types of unprotected sexual activity. However, other diseases, such as syphilis, can be transmitted through oral sex. Do take heed my friend.

Bro... from what ya said, ur risk virtually non-existent, do a search at www.thebody.com and my god it must have been horribe for ya to live with this shit for 7 years.. I know cos I lived thru anxiety due to broken condoms wif an ons and also an FL here at differnt pts of times last year but luckily I am fine, now I insist on cap and I am glad I can sleep totally fine wif no worries :P Do e test tomolo and refer to my signature on where to do it, I hope to see a WOO HOO from ya and a reply to my post tomolo after ya come back from DSC clinic okie. Remember to cap up next time :P

Yo Bro,
Your risk is extremely low. 7-8 years is too long a time to be feeling worried, the real cure for u now is to take a blood test. And after that u'll know that ur worries are unfounded. Do visit www.thebody.com for some comfort, esp the Safe Sex forum, where this Dr Bob is pretty good in reassuring pple. Hope it helps.

Yo bros...good news, tested -ve. It is a relief. It is also a wakeup call to me...to practice safe sex if i do ever visit WLs again. Dear fellow bros, please take my advice and cap on for all kinds of sex, irregardless for oral, anal, etc. It is not worth the risk and all the worry. In addition, if you are exposed to dangerous activities, please, please take a test. I know it is nerve recking. But at least, if you are -ve, the worries go away and you can carry on with life with one less worry. Also a BIG THANK U to fellow bros Desmond, bongster and Rof|maoxz for the advice and assurance. congrats bro. i also visted a FL a few days ago.oral sex was raw but the rest is with condom.i am also pretty scared now.currently i do not have any symptoms of any STDs and hope will not.praying hard now and will be goin for a blood test in 3 mths time.by the way if i am infected with STDs,symptoms will start showing ard 3-4 weeks time huh?? is there alot of pple there??very pai seh at there anot??

sorry by the way the test only test 4 HIV or it tests for HIV as well as STDs??

Dun worry as Dr Bob said, bbbj carries minimal risk, just remember to cap up for bj in e future and get tested to allay ur fears, do not worry excessively.

Some STD will hv symptoms within a few days. If ur didi in pain...pai seh also must go rite?? Anyway..all ppl go there r for the same reason...what is there to pai seh.

Up to u...u can request for HIV test as well as other STD tests...presuming u refering to DSC.

You are experiencing some most common fears amongst the brothers here.

It is perfectly normal for you to feel that way. Instead of letting fear get the better of you and speculating and losing sleep over this - go for a test.
