Soreness during refractory period?
This is a bit of an embarassing question because I feel like I should know this by now... After I come, if I get erect again within the next three hours (sometimes more) my penis is really sore while erect. I'm in my 30s now and I've always had this even in my early 20s.
I always thought that this was a normal refractory period, but after reading about it my sensations don't seem to match up with what the internet says a refractory period should be like. Some say the period is only 6 minutes or so, during which guys can't maintain an erection.
Well, after I come, I have 6 minutes or so where I can't get hard, but then for the next few hours or more my dick gets really sore if I get erect again. It's like all the blood pressure is causing the soreness. It doesn't even need to be rubbing against anything - just the simple fact of being erect is enough to be really sore. And if I try to have sex through the soreness it is very very difficult to come a second time even if it had been several hours since the last time.
If I masturbate right before the point of coming but stop and let myself get soft, the next erection isn't sore. It's only after coming that the next erection is very sore.
Do other people experience this soreness just from being erect? Is this what a refractory period should be like?
