hmm... think u are not alone.
i have hear of many having such issues similar to urs.
good thing abt u is that both u and ur bf is open to treatment and ideas to help each other unlike most couples who rather be quiet abt it...

I think he may be worried about his performance that's why so fast. Not sure about other bros, but I have ranged from 30 mins non-stop session to ultra fast release within 3 or 4 strokes (15 sec)

Would suggest this:-

(1) Use Durex Extra Safe
(2) Do it in the morning
