You will get your first power when you reach 50 points.
You also gain 1 power every year.
you also gain 1 power for every 3000 points.

Anytime your points drop below 50, you will lose all your power. If you get back above 50 points, you get your power back.

Hi! I've recently joined and gotten it figured out due to some helpful bros on the forums.

The point system doesn't go up naturally. You need to contribute quality posts and/or beg the senior/older members to uprep you. Your points will go up depending on their rep power. (e.g., mine is 1, so if I uprep you, your points will only go up by 1.)

Once you go above 100, you will then have 1 power in order to uprep other people. That's when people go into the different rep trading threads to uprep each other.
