My first FR on Batam

After reading Bro nono's guide and following this group silently for months, decided to finally materialize my first solo 2d1n batam trip.

Arranged Sindo ferry tickets from carousell & took Saturday 10:20am ferry to batam Centre. Was given zika form to fill up but nobody collected it at batam Centre. I had booked promo shuttle of Formosa hotel in advance.. So formosa driver was waiting for me when I arrived. However, Booked return ticket before leaving for hotel.

At Formosa, applied for free membership but seems like I can only take its benefits from following bookings. So paid 580k total (530k room charges + 50k for 2way shuttle). Next was to change currency opp. Hotel building, exchange rate was 9600\sgd.

After taking rest for 10 mins in room, heads out for shopping. Walked straight to Goldbird. As happens with every newbie, was bit unsure if I'm at right place... Was also feeling hungry, so went to food court exactly opposite for lunch. My eyes were on red wooden gate all the time. Then saw couple of people going in and out and figured out that I'm at right place. Although, it later turned out to be a disappointment, as there were just 6 girls left at 12:30 pm. Total 5 milf & 1 semi milf. Mami quoted 1.3m for semi milf. But since that girl was showing no interest, decided to leave place. Without asking, mami brought down price to 1.0m but I left nonetheless.

Next walked to New Berry. It had 20+ girls and many showed interest. Most milf were of 900k and syt, semi syt were 1.3m. Picked one 28 year old girl here. Bargained price down from 1.3m to 1.15m. Took visiting card from papi and asked him to send girl at 4pm.

On the way back to hotel, purchased CDs and few groceries. Back to hotel.. Straight went to Kings spa. Luckily got a syt.. She opened big mouth & asked 1m for FJ but bargained her down to 300k. Later my girl came & after bit of chit chat had our first round. In evening, went for dinner with girl across main road after indorasa.. Costed 40k.

After coming back to room, watch TV for sometime and then had our second round before sleeping. Woke up early in morning, had last round with girl before she left around 8:30 am. After taking bit of rest, went down for breakfast.

I was planning to go for massage in utama area today, but was feeling tired so again had massage by Kings girl in my room. Just took HJ for 150k since as I had no energy left. Her first quote was 400k.

After that packed my bags, had lunch in Nagoya mall food court and then took Formosa shuttle back to batam Centre for return ferry.

Heading to batam ard the later middle part of next mth with a few male friends,i hv a few questions. It's our first time there,so we'd like to settle ourselves down on basic accommodation,transportation and of possible,some basic mongering area we can go to.

1. How much roughly do i need to budget for a 3d2n in btm? Let's say we're hopeful for some kinky massages with happy ending & getting a girl for company through our nites? No pubs,no ktv,maybe a hot sauna spa during one of our days.

2. I'm need a place to hit the sack for 2 nights,looking at hotel that is hopeful more centralise to getting girls & perhaps some shopping. Anyplace to recommend?

3. What are the better available means of transport to travel on the island for first timer?

4. Any other things to take note for first timer? Or anything a newbie should avoid?

Yes bro,if time/fate allows,can catch up for a meal or drink in Batam. I just learned in my last trip (Sept 2016) that Acia (the place you brought me to) makes Fried Oyster Omelette w/o the oyster itself and its called Ou Jian kosong,hehehe....(i allergic to sea food)

I wont be going to Batam this month anymore,becos already went for 2 trips and stayed for a total of 5D4N in total. My Boss heads to Japan this month and i am not sure which part of next month will he be back,so i dont have any dates to go yet.

It's a few months I don't visit Batam, but you must refer to the Newton PUB, which is located (was located?) at ground floor near the entrance to the elevators which take to the disco (always at 5th floor).

Nothing has change since you last visit batam (I'm referring to newton), if there is any changes u probably will know from here since I go newton every month. Planning to try out Titanium club next (Harbour Bay mall). Heard it is great.

Planning to try out Titanium club next (Harbour Bay mall). Heard it is great.
But it has nothing to do with Newton. It must be something like No Name, M1 pub, Planet Pub. Upper scale?

I believe this hotel anyone who frequent Batam would have seen it before,its called Holiday Hotel. It just had a makeover and the boss i hear dump quite a bit of money to make it look almost new,hehehe... (its still a very old hotel that has some history in Batam)

Holiday hotel was one of the older hotels remembered by more senior Batam cheongsters of years ago. Even they (the hotel) have to go in tune with time to keep up with the competition among all other newer and older hotels. They now have something NEW! An Elevator (a lift)...lol.

They are now priced around S$27 to S$34 at Agoda before the +10%+11% taxes. Having seen this old Holiday hotel being renovated with a new look,i am also looking forward to see another very old hotel which is now sitting on a Gold Mine to hopefully redefine itself too. Its another historical hotel with a very very BIG land space. Its called Sari Jaya Hotel. A hotel rated by one of the tourist from tripadvisor as TERRIBLE. I have never stayed there before,so i shall reserve my comment/s on it for now.

Used to be my favorite hotel with 3 plus points.

1) Individual aircon for each room.
2) Room come with Bathtub cost only $30+/-
3) Breakfast sent to your room with a call to reception.

The price I have heard, has gone up a little as compared to the past. And it does look like City Central hotel has a competitor of its own size,hehehe...;)

1. Bring along about $600. This should be sufficient for ferry, hotel, 2 booking girls, meals, 2 massage with ++. No ktv, no pubs, o freelancers.

2. Formosa Hotel. Will cost about $50++ for weekends. It's central to nightlife, shopping and booking joints. Nearby City Central Hotel, Lovinna Inn. Cost $30++, but around the same vicinity as Formosa.

3. You're not alone in the trip, hence a taxi will be most efficient to share cost. Booking a taxi for entire day will cost about 300,000rp per day (after negotiation). But, this will negate your bargaining power at booking joints as the commission these joints pussy to the taxi drivers comes from you. These commission ranges from 100,000rp to add much as 300,000rp.

For me,i usually change my money upon touching dwn Batam. Change S$50 from the Batam ferry terminal i alighted in,the rest at smaller shps around the hotel i stayed in. I read that the rates were about 2-3% better in Batam as compared to SG most money changers.

Noted with thx,after reading yr post i think we'll probably be changing abt $50 in SG first before heading to btm. We shld be safe with $200 worth of rupiah altogether until we reach our hotel to change more money,right? :p

Hey guys just got the time to write a fr on my 2d1n trip to batam last wednesday.. took ferry to harbour bay. Reached at abt 11am.. Had seafood lunch at harbour bay with my fren who is returning back sg.. After tat took a cab to da vienna hotel driver quote 60k but i bargain to 50 k. I checked in at 1230 like tat. Booked junior suite as i can claim my hotel booking at work hehe.. i must say its a very nice room big and good ambience. Highly recommended. Its abt sg 80 for a night.

Yes,its highly recommend to stay there but not at S$80 unless like yourself,its claimable ,hehehe...Kaha selling the junior suite voucher at 600k per night. I don't know if there is a limit for your hotel room claim, but do give a shot at their Exec Suite the next time round. You will be further impressed ,hehehe... if its too high to be claimed,try Kaha to get their voucher,it should not be more than 800k per night stay.

S$80 budget is considerably a high for accommodation. You will have many choice of hotel rooms to stayed in,hehehe...

After chilling a while decided to go shopping at nagoya mall. And i managed to walk all the way there its ard a 10 mins walk just decided to try and i made it. I didnt use gps and all as i didnt even buy a sim jus gauged the walk thru using the wifi at hotel before i leave. And ya the wifi is pretty good at da vienna compared to formosa and gideon. 2 previous hotel which i stayed.. I walked down quite aimlessly as i had the time to burn and i saw formosa and i knew the way to nagoya mall after tat.

Short cut from Da Vienna hotel to Formosa hotel is via the back door of Da Vienna hotel itself,hehehe...easily saves you at least 2 to 3 mins walking time.

After shopping took a cab back to hotel put my stuffs and decided to go for cewek shopping. Continued in the same cab. Went to bunga first got abt 12 girls but none really attractive to me than go happy 8.and to my surprise i saw nearly 25 over girls the entire sofa was full. Light up a stick talk to the mami a while. As i am short sighted i told her i want to go nearer to see. The mami is quite friendly too. She offer me a free beer as well. I went near the glass and saw many smiley faces.. found one really pretty gl smiling.. her name is feeya/fia if i m not forgotten. I went back talk to the mami ask her more details. Mami quoted 1.4m. She said she is the youngest ther 20 yrs old. I dono how true. But she is really looking young syt type. She called her out shake hand and she went to get rdy. I brought the price down to 1.3m.

Glad you bargained. Or you will be paying a higher price (even tho I know it can still be brought down a little more).

Mami was telling another 2 older man sitting beside me was sitting there for 3 hrs and they go off without choosing.

The 2 older men were looking for life time partners,hehehe...the girls in Happy 8 were too young for them,i guess.

Wanted to go for a massage as my body was aching from previous day soccer. Went to indo rasa. 1 hour massage. I think it was 90 or 100k.

Didn't know Indo rasa increased their entry price. Hmm...

And the lady probably in late 30s DID NOT ask me if i want special. Knowing indo rasa i was quite surprised. And even she know that i wanted as i literally steamed during the massage. Anyway i did not ask anything as i wasnt really interested in her.

My key reason to Indo Rasa wasn't onto anything really sexual,hehehe...its more of a revitalizing station. The look of their girls don't really matters much to me.

After tat went to buy murtabak at one of the shop near there. Bought murtakabak and satays very cheap. Went back hotel eat and chill.. Played wechat a while. Got nearly 10 girls spam.. all quote 500k for st.. i think standard pricing lol.

Quoted price will always be higher than after bargained price. In hotel fj can be quoted as high as 700k to 1 juta,but after bargained price could come down as low as 250k to 450k. Applies for wechat too.

She was telling how the bangla treater her about a month back. Like literally forcing few fingers inside and how much she cried and went back. Haiz.. than had simple hotel dinner and we decided to go shower and we had our second round in the bath tub. Junior suite does pay off haha..

Many stories on how they were mis-treated by Bangladeshis and Indians. I have heard stories like the girls were not being fed lunch,dinner etc,after bonking 5 rounds zero tipping during end of the deal,make the girls goes drunk and about a dozen men forcefully rotates on them raw. Many girls practically fear them,hence they set the 2 bonk or 3 bonk restriction and the no kissing,no drinking rules with them. And some even advance-warn them that they will run at the slightest unhappiness.

The most recent words I heard from some the girls were their egos (customer's ego). They have the "i am paying you and you MUST OBEY my every needs" kind of attitude displayed which adds to their pissing off. Some girls however will try to play the same "restriction" which they use upon the "Bangladeshis/Indians" onto Batam newbies, so there is still a chance they might unknowing got bitten by these girls.

After tat we tok tok a while and decided to go down walk walk as she wanted to buy cigg. Jus below the hotel we saw a bar named theme sports bar or sth.. we go there sit a while had some drinks got snacks oso

I said okay and start to keep my belonging safe first as its 2 gls coming and u neva knw wat they r capable off. Jus kept my phone and a few money with me.

Ard 10 mins they both came up looking really sexy still in the bar suit. I was like tonight really jackpot.haha. till this point didnt ask anything abt service or how much. The gl who i was wechattig is a slim smiley looking gl.. while the other was a bit slutty and arrogant looking. Sometimes i like this way. We chit chatted a while as they took turns to bath. After tat the gl i wechat and me went to the bed while the other say she want to watch tv. She went to the sofa. Junior suite of da vienna is really separated so the gl one the sofa cant see the bed.hehe. we tok a while and kissed a bit and had a first round.

Hehehe...see,like i always say,having one dick when in Batam is often not enough. And by the way,in case you didnt know,when you turn off the TV in the Junior suite room and if the lights on the bedside is turned on,it may reflects the action on the bed (depending on angle) to the TV,hehehe...well...unless the position of your junior suite and the one i stayed in is in a different positioning.

Nope,the taxi driver will only pick the one who pays the 50k rupiah during room booking. Meaning to say, if you book a room directly from Formosa Hotel website (usually via email),you ask for shuttle service to and fro Ferry Terminal,you foot the bill of 50k rupiah and they only pick you up and drop you off later ; and not your other friends.

In other word,if you wish to have the hotel to pick you and your friends up (let's say you have 2 more friends which makes a total of 3 in a group),you foot the bill of 150k rupiah and not 50k rupiah. My earlier reply was meant for Blackpage,and he travel solo most of the time in Batam. For your case,it may not be wise to get the shuttle service from the hotel if you have a group.

My suggestion,hail a taxi from whichever ferry point (Batam center/Harbour Bay) you are coming from,it should not cost more than 60k if you guys don't bargain,and then share the taxi fare among yourselves. (it will definitely cost lower if you bargain down)

Back frm my 2d1n trip. This time booked a 24yrs old semi-syt with C-cup frm Bali. Yes, she from Bali and used to work as a escort in Bali for last 2yrs serving those SAM. Confucius's birthday is on 28th Sept,hehehe...honestly speaking,i have not been there yet but I am expecting a big crowd on that day tho (27th Sept is a Tuesday).

If it's only for the purpose of taking a taxi to the hotel, change $20 is more than enough already. Even if you pay carrot rate, 4 paxes will only cost you 60,000rp (approx $6-$7). Then, the rest change at Nagoya Area. Don't ever change in Singapore.

I know your question is not directed at me, but I'm free now, so here goes..

1. If you're not familiar of the place, I would discourage against walking from Harbourbay to Formosa. It's walkable though. I usually do that, or I take ojet.

2. This is the best option for you guys, since there are 4 of you to share the cost. With girls, all 4guys + 4girls can squeeze into 1 taxi. Any taxi can be booked for whole day. And there are many who just parked their cars among the roadside it even approach you guys as you aware walking by the road. Try to bargain to below 300,000rp. The way it works is, the driver won't follow you 24 hours of the day. You need to tell him the time you want him to show up at the hotel, or call him when you need him. At the same time, he will also have other customers that booked him for the same day. With driver, your power to negotiate when booking girls gets weaker s bit as there is their commission to take in to consideration.

3. Only take ojet if you're alone. With 4 or you, it will cost up to 80,000. Too expensive.

Yup, thanks for the clarification. I was browsing on my phone. Hence when replying to multi-quote messages, I tend to just quote once and replied right away, so it seems that multi-quoted messages is only 1 message.

I know that your initial message is referring to the walk to the LEFT (going to where, I don't know also) instead of going to the RIGHT, in the general direction of Pacific, of Nagoya. This "RIGHT" direction is what I'm trying to say is unsafe to walk at night.

My bad here for being lazy. With phones getting more powerful these days, the time that I spend on my computer is only about 20-30% of what I used to, the rest being spent on the phone.

Interesting,i re-read the thread again and i notice this post....

For Malaysian/Indonesian who travel from Johor Bahru to batam.
Finally Malaysian/Indonesian from Johor Bahru Stulang Laut ferry terminal can have a direct ferry service from JB direct to Harbourbay Ferry Terminal. The direct ferry service was started off end of last year.

So now Johorian or even Singaporean/indonesian can travel directly from JB to Harbourbay Nagoya unlike last time have to reach batam centre first and then transfer taxi to Nagoya. Thus save on precious time and money and effort.

The ferry ticket price from JB Stulang Laut ferry terminal to Harbourbay and Batam Centre are the same because the distance apart from JB ferry terminal to both ferry terminals are almost equal if you look at the map.

There are now currently 2 ferry companies operating from harbourbay to JB stulang laut.

The two ferry ticket offices are located side by side near horizon ferry ticket office. Their schedules of departure from harbourbay to JB are different.

The first one is PT Putramaju (picture below showing schedule) (the staff said they use better ferry than the other company)

The second one is marine hawk ferry. (last time was known as mv mutiara)

However, imagine me, new in Batam, walking that road at night. I could not distinguish much around me. I doubt I could have found Nahoya Hill alone that night :o

Conversely, again one of my first times in Batam, I made a long walk (it seemed long to me, yet it wasn't so long) from Penuin back to Formosa at night. A girl told me she was employed in a casino there, and I wanted to go there to check.
It seemed a long adventure to me, at that time.

I asked becos i hope to bypass the custom passport chopping procedure and am wondering if it will be against their law. I ask the question also becos i have read in the older Batam thread that someone actually get into Tanjong Pinang from Batam w/o going thru their custom immigration to have his passport chopped. (he took a speed boat there if i dont remember wrong)

My greatest fear when going to Indonesia,their custom immigration.Where they keep finding loopholes in their own country's law to try to put tourist in some kind of trouble so they can extort them. Not forgetting there wont be a Singapore Consulate in Tanjoing Pinang nor in Tanjong Balai Karimun to help me if the immigration officers of the mentioned places has 'other plans' for me,hehehe...

Note,i ask the above question for my knowledge reason/s,i have no intention to visit Tanjong Balai Karimun nor Tanjong Pinang anytime soon. I apologize if you (or anyone) feel i asked too much.

I think they are still using individual air-con type....

In fact some time single split air con unit can sometime be cooler than central air con unit.

If the single split or individual air con unit is brand new or with regular servicing, the air con is usually quite cooling, example LaiLai, Lovina inn, etc.
If one split unit in one room does not work properly, it will not affect other split unit in other room.

However, on the other hand, for some large hotel like Formosa, Harmoni hotel, etc using centralise air con system may have some disadvantage is that when the central air con system malfunction, all the rooms will get affected as the cool air that comes out from the air-con vent of each room is supplied by the central air-con system.

I notice that there are some rooms in formosa still have some air-con issue (not cool enough despite adjust to the lowest temp) example room 365 and 367. Hopefully the management can do something to improve the air con service of those room

I think they already do away with the bath tub :

Seems like in the 80s and 90s, hotel operator like to install bath tub for the hotel guest. But the present days, having a standing shower in the toilet tends to be more common and popular as it can free up more space in the toliet and more convenient to get shower (without the need to climb over the bathtub)

Formosa hotel replace most of their bathtub with standing shower in the non-smoking rooms...

The price I have heard, has gone up a little as compared to the past. And it does look like City Central hotel has a competitor of its own size,hehehe...;)

This Holiday hotel looks good but as a 2 star hotel at the range of 300plus k, there are in fact quite a number of competitors at this range of pricing around the area...
Lovina Inn, City Central, Hana hotel, Ace hotel, etc

Alternatively add another 100k upgrade to 3 star hotel at 400plus k, have the option to choose nagoya plasa hotel, formosa, biz hotel, da viena, etc

No need to go through immigration once again, this is a domestic travel. Basically, you just hand over the ticket for scanning (and IC or passport for verification) and you can proceed to board the ferry. The entrance for the domestic ferries is different from the entrance for the intl ferries.

It's just like flying from Hang Nadim Airport to Jkt (which I have done on numerous occasions). Go into the airport, proceed to airline counter to obtain your ticket. Sometimes they'll ask for ID for verification that you are indeed the passenger (which technically should be the right procedure), but sometimes they don't (happened to me a couple times).

Once ticket collected, proceed to security screening and then straight to boarding gate. Upon arrival at Jakarta, disembark and straightaway proceed to luggage belt and out of airport.

Agreed with you on this one.

Individual air con definitely easier to maintain for hotels with lesser rooms.

Too many rooms,hotels will require a pool of bigger team of technicians to maintain its air con units. If its centralized,the amount of technicians the hotels needs to 'feed' will be lesser. So it really depends,as hotels has to weigh its own pros and cons. And as for how well they can maintain it,i would say 3 to 5 years and the hotel's facilities probably reaches an EOL (end of lifespan).

Yes,the strength of the central air-con unit couldn't reach up to room 365 and 367. If they turn on the strength of its central air con unit,the other rooms may likely be freezingly cold. Kind of a bit imbalance. And when the night falls or when the sunsets,some rooms can become amazingly cold.

Also,the size of the room plays apart too, bigger rooms takes a longer time to cool down. In my later trips,i may go try to talk to the technician regarding room 365 and 367 (bypassing the recept),hehehe...I think if the air con isn't cool enough after 4 hours,always call them up (receptionist) becos at times,they would reserve those rooms for 'senior citizens' who worries more about air-con being too strong and the newer recept probably gave it to the wrong type of guest/s, hehehe...

I would love to have a bath tub tho. I don't think taking away the bath tub has in anyway free up more space in their toilet. Look at the measurement of shower area and the bath tub area,its actually close to the same as before. I believe it is becos it is much easier to maintain a stand-shower area than a bath tub area (imagine a shower area got choked or has a leakage and a bath tub having the same problem/s) and not forgetting many accidents has occurred when one were to stand-shower on a bath tub area as the floor on the tub itself is slipperier.

My number 1 choice for hotel is Formosa Hotel,2nd place goes to Biz Hotel and 3rd goes to Da Vienna,4th place goes to Utama Hotel. I am not picking base on their pricing but more on the hotel's location. I am a booking joint and massage person. With a good location,i in turn save a lot of traveling time and the need for taxis and that in turns saves me some money too.

In case you haven't notice, many hotels starts renovating in late 2015 and beginning of 2016. One of them was KTM resort and their room prices has gone upward. A result of lack of competition at Sekupang area.

From SKP I always alight at the Bank BRI. (One junction before holiday hotel. That why I missed it.

Last night walk in and inspected their superior room.
Yes there is Bath tub and also found room area quite compatible with UTAMA Rp385k (kaha rate) room.
With the price tag of Rp330 (walk in) I think it is quite reasonable.

If it's only for the purpose of taking a taxi to the hotel, change $20 is more than enough already. Even if you pay carrot rate, 4 paxes will only cost you 60,000rp (approx $6-$7). Then, the rest change at Nagoya Area. Don't ever change in Singapore.

1. If you're not familiar of the place, I would discourage against walking from Harbourbay to Formosa. It's walkable though. I usually do that, or I take ojet.

2. This is the best option for you guys, since there are 4 of you to share the cost. With girls, all 4guys + 4girls can squeeze into 1 taxi. Any taxi can be booked for whole day. And there are many who just parked their cars among the roadside it even approach you guys as you aware walking by the road. Try to bargain to below 300,000rp. The way it works is, the driver won't follow you 24 hours of the day. You need to tell him the time you want him to show up at the hotel, or call him when you need him. At the same time, he will also have other customers that booked him for the same day. With driver, your power to negotiate when booking girls gets weaker s bit as there is their commission to take in to consideration.

3. Only take ojet if you're alone. With 4 or you, it will cost up to 80,000. Too expensive.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN BATAM

One thing good about travelling in batam is that its road conditions is not as congested as johor bahru due to less vehicles on the road. Although Batam does not have many highway or big roads, there are many short cuts one can take in the city (small lanes) to avoid or bypass the heavy traffic ahead to reach its destination faster.

As for taking Batam public transport, the drivers usually pick up and drop off passengers at any place and any time unlike spore. Pedestrians are advised to be more careful when crossing the road as most of the vehicle will not give way to pedestrian even though there is a pedestrian crossing road mark.

Example: crossing the road to nagoya hill mall from bridge massage / alfa mart. Unlike malaysia has many overhead bridge and singapore has many underpass, pedestrian crossing the road in batam requires some crossing skill.. (crossing road in vietnam is lagi more terok :D)

As we already know that there are a few mode of public transport in batam and each type of public transport can cater to different needs, different groups of passengers and on different occasions :

The Ojek is the so called unlicensed motorcycle taxi which can only take one passenger behind only.

Pros

1) Brings its passenger faster to his/her destination as it can travel through small lanes and beat traffic jam. Lone ranger man or booking joints cewek favourite..

2) They are generally easy to hire as they can be easily found anywhere in the city, usually can be identified by their "spare helmet" and they often ride their motorbikes slowly to look for passengers.

3) Would not say it is cheap but economical. A short distance negotiable fare is about 10k rupiah. Cheaper than teksi (taxi in bahasa) but more expensive than metro van / bus.

Cons

1) Cannot accomodate 2 passengers who wish to travel together.

2) Be it rain or shine, the passenger has to endure the weather.

3) Could be slightly risky if the driver rider does not ride carefully. (汽车是铁包人,摩托车是人包铁)

4) Inconvenient if the passenger is carrying some belonging or grocery

The Teksi- pronounced as "tuck see". Generally two type of taxi : private sedan non-metered taxi (霸王车) and taxi company metered taxi.

As you are aware that majority of taxis in Batam are non-metered taxis and do not have the taxi-sign on the roof of the car. These private non-metered taxis usually use old type of sedans and usually in black color and the driver can also take other passengers even though you are already in the car, unless you say you “charter” or bao the taxi.

These non-metered taxis can be easily found on the side of main streets, in ferry terminals, airport, and other public places.

Non-metered taxi fares depend on how far or close your destination and all fares are negotiable. So please feel free to bargain to get a cheaper fare in order not to spoilt the market...hehe

As for metered taxi, Silver Cab and Blue Bird taxis use a digital meter machine and can issue a payment receipt upon reaching destination.

Pros

1) Suitable for people travelling with families and friends. Toyota Avanza taxi can sit 6 passengers while Toyota Innova taxi can sit 8 passengers. Can also bring your barang barang along together with booking cewek, hehe..

2) They are easy to hire as can be easily found anywhere in the city, especially the non-metered taxis. Can telephone booking in advance to the taxi company should you need to arrive at your destination on time.

3) Comfortable air-con with shelter from weather.

4) Safer than other mode of transport

Cons

1) Most expensive way of travelling. Usually the supir/driver like to chop carrot on foreigners unless you possess the skill of negotiation.

2) Driver likes to pester male passenger to book cewek, go to restaurant and book hotel so that he can get a commission from booking joints, restaurant boss and hotel operators besides his taxi fare.

Public Bus in Batam is also known as Trans Batam. It was implemented in early 2016 this year.

The bus services start from and end at 3 locations namely Sekupang, Batu Aji and Batam Center. Bus fare is 4k per trip.

Currently there are 2 bus routes in Batam :

Batam Centre-Batu Aji and Batam Centre-Sekupang with the same fares of 4k rupiah flat.

The public buses can be board in front of Harris Hotel Batam Centre.

Pros

1) Taking public bus is the cheapest way of transport as it travel a long journey but at a low price..4k rupiah.

2) Passenger with luggage should not be an issue as ample space in the bus

Cons

1) Passengers who do not have much spare-time in Batam should not take bus because the bus always depart 30-45 minutes later than its schedules or maybe even more.

2) Do not stop at many places in the city unlike the ojek/taxi/van. Mainly stop at designated bus stop.

...and apparently, the photos you took show that the place where you took your photos is closer to Singapore than from the place I took mine. Try retaking the photo at the end of this year (if there is a chance) where the fog were lesser and during the later noon time. I think it will be clearer.

Base on the photos you took and comparing with mine, your mobile phone appears to be more superior than mine in terms of camera resolution. The photo you took isn't clear more becos of the environment and climate when you shoot it.

After paying, i waited for her to change. After going into the taxi, i realised that two of her hands are deformed. Deformed meaning that there are missing fingers on both hands.

Back to the room, realised that her right feet is missing some toes as well. The service was bad, everything also cannot except fj. After 1 fj, she proceed to sleep all the way except for meals.

4. Always bargain down and do it with a smile. (argue and bargain is 2 different word with 2 different meaning,some will forget that)

5. I have only one dick,there are thousands of tight pussies in Batam for sale,hehehe...i have to control myself very hard NOT TO BE GREEDY,hehehe...

Took the 1045 Ferry to HBB.

Due to me walking up late and me having to reset my cheonging phone, only got to meet 1 bro in the ferry and the other lost contact despite me leaving message in pm and SMS (retrieve his number from Google Contacts) but no reply.

4,000 for aircon big bus, 5,000 for non-aircon van in various colors. Take Blue,pink,red and white color van and confirm with driver if he is going nagoya. Skip green color van, even though going to nagoya as well but 1 big round go into bengkong then harbourbay (batu ampar) before nagoya.

Don't know why the cost doesnt match the quality of ride. But probably big bus belongs to government with subsidy and van owned by private Ltd.

No, this Yuni in Kupu2 is not the priciest in the joint. She's actually a replacement cos the girl that I booked at Kupu2 come menses. Abu brought her to my hotel personally. Guess if I rejected her, I will get a full refund, but I never try. However, I do have to reiterate that she's a good worker. Attitude good, willing to go the length to please. Maybe she know that she's not my choice and that I bo bian then take her one, that's why worked harder. Usually I took the earlier bus it wouldn't be empty. But looks like the usual passengers hv departed as the 750 bus can't reach town by 800.

If you are coming from the direction of Batam Centre Ferry Terminal, you will hit the roundabout fountain that's in front of Lovina Inn. I believe most Batam cheongster would have heard of the girl's bad experience with the Sillypore's foreign workers. Having said the above,there are also a small quantity of them who only has 3 shots or lesser. On the average,out of 10 newbies WITH me,i would say 7.5 whose physique allows them to achieve more than 3 shots, would be able to get what they can do. 2. Knows what one is looking for and then seek from thereon.(every step is part of growing up ,there's no one step to 'heaven' when one is looking for 'heaven',applies for traveling all over the world too)

3. Be humble,be nice and avoid having that mentality that "i am your pay-master and you MUST serve me like my slave" attitude. (12 to 18 hours can be a long time if the girl are serving someone they 'hate',imagine i am in her shoe)

4. Always bargain down and do it with a smile. (argue and bargain is 2 different word with 2 different meaning,some will forget that)

5. I have only one dick,there are thousands of tight pussies in Batam for sale,hehehe...i have to control myself very hard NOT TO BE GREEDY,hehehe...

This is what i do and it has help me have a great time in Batam over the last 2 over years,there is definitely no obligation to follow what i do,hehehe...coming to 3 years,and i am still in Batam for more than a reason.

My 32nd Batam Trip Summary
(4th Sept to 7th Sept)

In reference to my 31st Batam trip summary (https://hive.am/31sttrip).

This trip summary is going to sound a bit boring becos i really how to start it. I look thru all my camera phone and realize that out of 10 photos i took,7 were naked bodies of my girls,hehehe... another thing would be,this the start of my preparation trip for my upcoming CNY 2017 trip. I apologize if its going to sound more like a Guide Book in this summary.

Like my usual,i disembarked from Harbour Bay,got my temperature check before making my way to get my passport chopped,and the anti-zika healthcare staffs were making sure passenger that comes from Singapore wasnt having any fever,rashes,red eyes etc. Thanks to bro Hawkeye,i was better prepared about filling the form and knows what to face :

Due to having early preparation,i can even help other passengers on board the ferry;a family of aged ladies and their little girl in their form filing. One very simple help i offered,i got a pen and help the lesser illiterate to fill in those forms. I think they were all caught by the surprise on the form-filling. They even ask about the white card too.

By the time I touch down and cross the Batam custom stamp-chopping,i was already about 20mins delayed comparing with my usual time I reach Batam in those previous trips. The most difficult time after the custom officer chopped my passport is gone and I looked forward to my paradise ,hehehe...

Upon checking into hotel,i learn of a good news,i qualified for the hotel's Silver membership card. Which is going to give me 15% off nearly everything from the hotel. But what i am after in their membership offer wasnt really the 15% but their free Transport from hotel to anywhere (but not back) 4 times a year.

The silver card also entitles me some free laundry wash which i didnt exactly need. 15% off King massage which i already start using,hehehe...

Not only did i qualify for the Silver card,i also qualify for ONE free night stay too. Now,here's the next best thing which i am targetting,i am looking at the below benefits :

If i am staying in a deluxe room,each night stay i get 13 points instead of the previous 10 points,and 15 points for Junior suite room and 17 points for Family room. 150 points entitles me to a FREE night stay,so in other word i need to stay less than 12 nights to get a free night instead of the previous 15 nights. And Gold card will give me less than 10 nights stay for ONE FREE night stay.

If i can clock more than 15 nights in around 4 months time,i think to achieve less than 12 nights to hit Gold should be a walk in the park,hehehe...thereafter i do some maths base on my regular stay,i would just need to stay less than 9 nights at most time to get another FREE NIGHT stay which in turns makes it the most value promo for free night stays among online hotel sites.

Forget the 15% to 20% of their gimmicks,as a tourist,i can never outsmart their price increase over the discount. BUT!! The free ride back to Harbour Bay gives me an extra bargaining edge against the hotel taxi there PLUS the free night stays also helps me earn some cash to cover my ferry tickets,hehehe....one stone kills many birds in this case. Have i mentioned before in my previous summaries that my stays in Batam hotels were practically claimable,hehehe...

Anyway,after dinner i send my friend off to the ferry terminal and had my endless OTOT night. The girl i got used to be working in a men's spa before,so this trip i actually save quite a bit of money on massage as she could do a fairly good massage and better still body to body breast massage. Good time usually pass very fast and soon it was morning,she has to head back to her joint to change or something even tho i am extending her for another night. Dinner was at ex. Kroepoek food court. Remember,Kroepoek food court used to need to buy top-up card,deposit some money in the card and then use it to buy food from the respective stalls. Yes,it has closed down and replace by another food court company called Food Colony.

The ambiance remains the same as previous Kroepoek food court but this time round,i think they learned from the previous food court failure,they do away with the top up card system.

My next step is to get to Nagoya City Walk Mall to Biz Hotel,which is actually on the other end of Nagoya City Walk Mall. The Nagoya City Walk Mall you see from how I walk from Formosa Hotel is one end of the City Walk Mall...walk to the other to reach Biz Hotel. It is important that I need to keep tab from this part of the summary onward becos I am going to walk around Biz hotel,circling Utama Hotel from thereon.

Now,once I reached Biz hotel from over the other end of Nagoya City Walk Mall,i walked into the Biz hotel,Walk Out and then I TURN RIGHT (from Biz hotel entrance) and I will be seeing as what I see on the map below :

I am still in the middle of "walking" to Gold Bird KTV booking joint which is just behind Batam Star Hotel (and Batam Star is just beside Lai Lai Hotel) and Permata Indah KTV booking which is a little further across the road from Da Vienna Hotel. I think i will leave it to my next summary as this is taking up too much of my time,hehehe...and when everything is complete,a Booking Joint Walk Through Guide MAY then emerge,hehehe...believe,its only the beginning stage as i am moving along. My plans were beyond that.

See? Most of the overnight girl booking joints were all just around the corner within walking distance all around. Bro nono thanks for sharing and congratulation for upgraded to silver card. You now not only can obtain free nite stay earlier, discount in massage, free transport to formosa, late check out at 3pm and still got laundry washed and room upgrade...

Don't know whether can flash the silver card for special handjob discount or not to the king massage cewek, hehe..:D

So far I only stayed 5 nites since early August and I have to stayed another 10 more nites in order to obtain silver card and must do it within 10 more months since upgrade card requires 15 nites within 12 months period start counting from the date of the first nite stay.

Just an additional comment. Have to be careful not to confuse between free night stay and upgrade card is that :

To obtain the silver card and free night stay of 150 points, you need to stay as a classic member for 15 nights in order to qualify for both.

But on the other hand, to obtain the gold card, you need to stay as a silver member for 15 nights but to obtain a free night stay, you only need to stay 12 nights as a silver card member example 12x13= 156 points.

Just to take note that upgrading card requires 15 nite stay regardless of the room you stay...:)

Ya, the route of the pink angkot starts from nongsa then to airport. After that will pass by Batam centre before reaching its destination at jodoh...

Sometimes waiting for angkot is easier than waiting for bus because angkot is plentiful as the white,pink,dark blue will pass by batam centre.

Bus sometimes arrive late and may wait at the bus stop for passeneger for quite long before it will leave.

One angkot driver sent me from jodoh market to harbourbay and said up to me to give. Therefore I gave him 5k and he is damn happy because for a short journey of about 1.5km only.

During my another trip then I realised I have paid too much the last trip when I took the same journey again which cost me only 3k the second time as quoted by another angkot driver...

Batam center is a very big place and everything including good food were all scattered very widely apart hence from point A to point B can be quite a distance away.

After reading Bro nono's guide and following this group silently for months, decided to finally materialize my first solo 2d1n batam trip.

Arranged Sindo ferry tickets from carousell & took Saturday 10:20am ferry to batam Centre. Was given zika form to fill up but nobody collected it at batam Centre. I had booked promo shuttle of Formosa hotel in advance.. So formosa driver was waiting for me when I arrived. However, Booked return ticket before leaving for hotel.

It does looks you really drawn out a whole budget base trip on your FR here,hehehe...buy ferry tickets from carousell which would already save you some money. Book the shuttle service from Formosa hotel,you save yet another sum,hehehe...smart cheongster indeed.

At Formosa, applied for free membership but seems like I can only take its benefits from following bookings. So paid 580k total (530k room charges + 50k for 2way shuttle). Next was to change currency opp. Hotel building, exchange rate was 9600\sgd.

That was probably becos you may have gotten your hotel via other online site? Not too sure on this,but if you are in Formosa Hotel during weekends,members also need to fork out 510k (460k during weekdays) too. So prices not too much of a difference.

After taking rest for 10 mins in room, heads out for shopping. Walked straight to Goldbird. As happens with every newbie, was bit unsure if I'm at right place... Was also feeling hungry, so went to food court exactly opposite for lunch. My eyes were on red wooden gate all the time. Then saw couple of people going in and out and figured out that I'm at right place. Although, it later turned out to be a disappointment, as there were just 6 girls left at 12:30 pm. Total 5 milf & 1 semi milf. Mami quoted 1.3m for semi milf. But since that girl was showing no interest, decided to leave place. Without asking, mami brought down price to 1.0m but I left nonetheless.

Impressive, being new and yet has the ability to find Gold Bird,hehehe...to be honest,it isn't an easy task for someone who is new and it require some patience and time as compare to going to other booking joint.

Later my girl came & after bit of chit chat had our first round. In evening, went for dinner with girl across main road after indorasa.. Costed 40k.

so the conclusion is either the pink or blue angkot will bypass Nagoya shopping mall. And i can alight at the satay food stall.

I took the pink Angkor opposite Batam Centre ferry terminal, and drop n front of bridge massage. Opposite bridge massage is Nagoya mall. Behind bridge massage is Formosa hotel. Hope this is clear.

Yup, short hair, petite size, round face, right? If so, we are aiming the same lady. Yes, she's not available for massage at May choice, you may book her overnight. However, she can only meet up after work at May choice. Short time quoted to me 500k, before nego. And, overnight, she ask me for price as she never do before. Haha... Guess she's too used to getting hit by customers. She told me 10pm finish work last week, but this week changed to 11pm and can only reach my hotel at 12am. Although I just reached here at 9pm, 3 hours is too much to wait. And, maybe due to the rain, at 9pm, yesterday still full of girls at most joints. Got mine from SK last night. Not difficult to achieve that at Indorasa coffee shop, but for 2 paxes is a great feat. The drink alone is 8000rp a can.

May Choice: didn't get to visit last night, and looks like not today too cos will have a full day outing with the Medan girl I chat up at Batam Centre last night.

Sri Kandi: have a number of Mandarins speaking cewek, girls aged around early to mid 20s. My booking last night from here. I took her before, so was more aiming for performance than syt-ness. Last night walk in and inspected their superior room.
Yes there is Bath tub and also found room area quite compatible with UTAMA Rp385k (kaha rate) room.With the price tag of Rp330 (walk in) I think it is quite reasonable.

After paying, i waited for her to change. After going into the taxi, i realised that two of her hands are deformed. Deformed meaning that there are missing fingers on both hands.

Back to the room, realised that her right feet is missing some toes as well. The service was bad, everything also cannot except fj. After 1 fj, she proceed to sleep all the way except for meals.

I have often ask bros to at least get a name card of the place where they book their girls from in case they forget the name of the girl. (the monk can run,the temple cant) The taking of the name card is also one of my few methods to give the 'girls' a heads up to prevent her from "playing truant". (not 100% foolproof,but it does help in some ways from my perspective)

No, no booking joint within walking distance if the info from Google map is correct.

It's near this Hotel Harapan Baru, which means it's at BCS / Penuin area. There is A2 foodcourt and 白龙云吞面 though. Highly recommended. And to make matter worst, not only is there no booking joint within walking distance, there is only 1 massage joint with plus/plus in that region.

But, if your into IndoChinese, the good news is that that area is also known as Batam's Chinatown. Lots of IndoChinese mei mei there. Unfortunately, they are not in the flesh trade. So, can see cannot touch. Do you bowl though? There's Batam's only bowling center (I could be wrong on this) in BCS. I'm going there to train tomorrow for my competition next next week.

I then booked Biz Hotel and only then that I realize that there are at least 6 joints within 5-7 minutes walking distance. I think i posted this fact too, 2 months back. Now, I'm just staying in Formosa for the membership thingy plus, I can get late check out with them.

Bro Fantastic only been took the joints in Utama area cos that's where i brought him to during our trip together. Plus, Happy8 too.

To be specific, we went to MM/Indah2/Sri Kandi/Tulip (here, we got our babes) then I brought him to Happy8 where he wishes he hadn't booked his girl yet cos there are many syts (what else).

So, if we assume that he only go to the joints that we visited, in inclined to assume that it's portably Indah2 or MM that he got this problem cewek from. Especially indah2 where the papi tried to push me a cewek who later turned out to be a bit problematic for 800k, although I sold her to another bloke for 900k when I met another ssyt at another joint. Of course, I booked the ssyt. Great session too.

Actually the nearer hotel to most joints fall more on Utama hotel than from Formosa,thats to be exact...hehehe...:D

Yes, Utama Hotel nearer to the joints. But how you compare an ancient hotel with another relatively new one?

I used to break the multi quote, but then, that will mean that I have to type [ quote message number ] message [ / quote ] for each section. And when it's done on a phone, the number of steps are increased due to switching to the symbols keyboard and back.

Anyway, guess I'll just do a block quote and then deleting some of the quoted text to shorten the quoted text..

Hotel choice, if you stay there, most joints not really within walking distance. Nearest also about 20 mins plus away if walking. But, you do have cinema, ktv and disco (Titanium, popular with IndoChinese but, not working girls) where the hotel is. And, not forgetting the biggest pharmacy in Batam 2 buildings away.

Those angkot coming from btm center to nagoya can drop you off at BCS only if you tell them before hand, if not they will turn straight into nagoya instead of making a U-turn at BCS. In the past, they do passby BCS before going to Btm Center. However, they had canceled that route probably due to the traffic.

Best solution for Nagoya Hill to BCS, take a ojek for 15k

OR

A taxi near the bus stop outside nagoya hill opposite bridge massage. It will cost you 10k (a shared ride with others if you ask for taxi biasa)

Some taxi will take you there privately for 20-30k.

40-50k is carrot chopping price.

Upon reaching BCS, ask them drop you beside the road instead of entering the gantry to the entrance where 95% taxi driver will ask you for extra to pay the 2k parking fee.

OR
