Thanks PTR for your input. I have been in Shanghai for a while and never had to pay more than 1600 total irregardless of the location, be it 金色大地 (JSDD)or 金色阳光 (JSYG). My average is 1400-1500 when I pay for my customers. Sometimes if the girl likes you, you can get away with FOC (rare but it happens) or 800 if you call her outside of the KTV). The only exception is 金碧辉煌 (JBHH) where your rate is accurate. Come on, who really goes to JBHH to party? We only bring cacausian customers there. It is also a must go but only once for the experience for any newbies in Shanghai. The place I usually bring my customers is off Huai Hai Road near XinTianDi. I know the managers there very well. Market rate there for overnight not over 1500-1600 total including sitting tips. Please keep in mind the seating tips for this place is 400. The place is by all standards very posh as well but not as huge as JBHH.

Anyway, in the end it is a matter of price expectation and acceptance. If the brothers here think it is fair and worth it, any price will do. Usually a scene is not created. If the girl count or ask, then ask for more, I will glady chalk it up. No problems there. It is afterall a transaction. But that almost never happens.

Yes bro PTR, I heard that excuse about showing the mommy b4 leaving. But a more seasoned shanghai-er will know that is usually BS. That will not work with places we frequent since the managers know us better than the girls.

Anyway, that is my experience. My 2 cents.

There are some good ones that are cheaper. The room fees are 250 excluding drinks. Gals' tips at 200. Those places look a little more run down and the ratio of class A girls is much lower. Chivas cost around 400-500 in these places. Look for smaller joints in Hongqiao/Gubei Area especially along Xianxia Lu. Some are ripoffs so ask the hostess about the charges upfront before you sit down and get comfy.

There are also some "underground" joints where they have to know you or get introduced before they will let you in. Those are quite reasonable as well. But I can't really talk about those here. :p

You can try Sports Hotel KTV located on Nan Dan road, junction of Cao Xi Bei Road. (Direction coming from Yan An Rd/ Heng Shan rd on Cao Xi Bei Rd, turn right at junction of Nan Dan Rd)

This joint mainly offers all range of gals from all over China other than Shangahai local gals. All gals from this joint are available for 'take away'. Tips + Take Away charges = RMB 1,000 net.
No mamasan there other than a male Manager (Mr. Huang), whom you don't need to pay him any tips at all. Pretty clean place, not too tardy or run-down. Go early & you might get some 'gems'...starts at 2000hrs -0100hrs...I think.
Room charges at min RMB 500 net for beers (Room for 4 pax)

It's been quite awhile since the last time I patronised this joint, probably almost 3+ years ago, hope this info's still valid. Go check it out.

In limited cases in other smaller cities, when I have an urge, then I shall call for service. Now I have regular girl friends in Shanghai and Beijing, and I have learnt to enjoy their companionship. However, I still hold on to the principle of not maintaining another family, but my own one in Singapore. My girl friends understand my principle and we are together happily.

The JSYG I mentioned is in Hong Gu Lu in Gu Bei Area. The tips range from 300-500 depending on which floor you go. The higher the floor, the more expensive and the more wild.

Anyway, it is also true price can vary from place to place, even person to person. It is always about how a person is perceived and sized up. Some people say I look local and with my accent most people cannot figure out I am a foreigner.

First time been kena very sianz...actually i often went to galaxy and actually the place is quite nice. But a bit bored....just raba here and there and chit chat. Just want to see more action. For those of you might not have been aware, my gf called me at galaxy and she told me that they have moved to 35th flr of the hotel....not sure abt the drinks. i guess the price may have go up but at least i know it is safe. However, please note on the number of drink the gals order. My gal alway only order one.

There are 2 types of gals. Some can pack back and some cannot. The price around 1500rmb for 2-3 shots including tips in the bar. Quite a good deal and they take their time. My friend get 3 shots and he was sextified.

The quality of gals there are generally above average and some work during the day as secretary or clerks.

Regarding ZY Bar, well it is quite simple. You go inside and it looks like a bar with some kind of cosy tables/cubicles in the corner. Usually after sitting there you will have the mamasan walk to you and introduce some girls. You pick one (or two) and basically they will suck you off while you're having a beer. It is BBBJ and very GFE. Total damage: 350 per girl (including the beer).
I have not been thre for almost one year but I have heard it has not really changed except for the fact that they now also offer FS on site for 700Rmb.
Most of the girls are also free after work for take away for LT (price is then negotiable with them directly).

I just played a visit to Yu Ping Hotel. Decent Place and clean. Though it charges RMB700 (it is my first time, the managers promise to give me discounts on my second arrival), I still think it is worthy.

It is really a good place and not crowded as Shanghai Hotel. However, the software is still good and yesterday, I did meet with a gal from Chengdu with her body resembled a MODEL.

Indeed that the media announced on papers that Xiang Yang Fashion Market is closing for good but only on papers, that is.

B4 CNY, I had dinner with the Shanghai Commercial Bureau & Trade Bureau officilas, and hearing from the horse's mouth that they announced this on papers mainly is to assure the branded goods merchants that they, the Shanghai Municipal Government is doing their utmost effort in stopping fakes, imitations, etc namely protection of foreign investors on IP (Intellectual Properties Act).

However, it is known to many officials that this is only for media 'shows' as I was told that most of the Xiang Yang Market existing vendors are being offered to relocate to Long Hua area, nearby to IKEA Furniture vicinity, Long Hua Road. Infact, I was told that there are already several vendors having thier new stalls opened at Long Hua now.
The situation is very much similiar to Beijing Xiu Shui Street as media reported.

Needless to say much, should the Shanghai Municipal Government really will to enforce complete closure on Xiang Yang Market, they themselves would stand to lose even more in terms of all aspects of cost & revenues...

So as far as shopping is concern to all bros, it shall still continue to be there for all shopaholics, only that it would be farther away from the heart of town.

1) Normal Oil / Chinese Massages : Depending on where you go to or what kinda of outlet you patronise, a verylocal small set-up or very high standard establishment it maybe. Ranging from RMB 60 - RMB 500 yuan.
No nonsense, merely a good oil massage tha's all.

2) Full services HC / Massage Centers here in Shanghai offers very similar services to Singapore & Bangkok as well. Full services ranging from RMB 500 - RMB 1,000.
Barber Shops mainly offers quickies i.e. HJ, some offering FJ too. Depends and subjective issues.

3) No nonsense [/B]oil massage outlets are as follow;
a) Dong Fang Roma - expensive outlet. Entrance fees at RMB198. Only includes facilities usage fees. Oil massage services are llisted on Menu as ala-carte items. Pick you choice. Extremely good standard facilities.
Address : On Jiang Ning Road, Ao Men Road.

b) Oriental Oasis - above average outlet. No entrance fees. Typical oil massage starts from RMB 298 onwards to RMB 498 per pax. Very good massage skills.

Also, be rest assured that most KTV joints welcome all races & nationalities, be it Japs, UK, USA, SGP, etc. As long as one can afford, none of these joints would turn anyone away bro. No worries on that.

True on the fact going alone to KTV joints are pretty dear in cost as well as likely to get ripped off if one are not familiar with the Mamasan there. It would be most advisable to patronise such establishments in min group of 3 pax & above. Most of all, do patronise only joints that either you or your friend have been to before.

Ktv and saunas are usually safe, especially the high class ones. I do not think there are any problems with bringing japanese gusts, don't worry about that.
For bbs it range from 50 for HJ, 100-150 for BJ, 150-300 for FS.

Yes, I also heard over CNY from the officials that the new "clothing" center will be open in the South Shanghai Raiway station area. Near Long Hua. The criteria is that vendors with past records of being cited for selling imitation items will not be allowed to purchase or lease the stores directly. But they can certainly rent from sub-letters. Happy to hear that also. Yes, it is definitely similar to the move from Beijing Xiu Shui Road to the current Ya Xiu clothing center.

Recently I was introduced to Jin She Dian Tang KTV on Shi Men Er Rd junction of Xin Zha Rd. Not too bad of a place, with a pretty good collections of gals there as well. Maybe you can try this outlet bro.

Also, the HCs u mentioned here....errr...are wrong names bro.
I think they should be Shi Jia Bao, on Yan Ping Rd, junction of Wu Ding rd. And also, Shu Yue Quan HC on Yan An rd near junction Shan Xi rd is merely a HC that offers at most a HJ for a extreme cost of RMB 700 all in, not worth it at all bro.
Try going Ala House (former New Huai Hai HC) on Fuxing Rd, junction Shun Chang rd, right behind the famous XinTianDi Square walking distance only. RMB 550 nett. Tips excluded.
Full course all in includes BBBJ, BJ & the finale FJ!

personally when I entertain, I like to go to Jing Chiu Zhi Xing on Song Shan rd and Huai Hai rd. Recently, I started going to their 4rd branch called Li Zhi Jin Dian on Kai Xuan rd off An Sun rd. It shares the same floor as Wan Zi Qian Hong but it is on the left side while Wan Zi is on the right. I like the atmosphere and the manager i know well. It gets pretty wild in there and every one I bring to entertain loved it.

New Huai Hai HC (Now Ala House HC) has changed since almost 7 months ago I think bro.....this shows that you've been a goody boy, behaving yourself mah! Good sign you know bro....
They renovated abit here & there but nonetheless it's still the same in terms of decor & hardware bro, pretty much 'run-down' as comapred to many otehr joints. But still, their 'siftware' (namely the gals) are still good in selections & quality.

Only thingy I dislike about Ala House Hc is teh lockers room's attendants whom they literally pester you for tips, even till the extend of telling how much they want for tips & make you sign on the tips charge slips.....

No la, not that regular. Can count with fingers from both hands. I only brought some customers there a few times. Just got into Foshan yesterday afternoon from Shanghai. Checked into the Chancheng Hotel on Fenjiang Zhong Lu. Strangely get a suite room for 420RMB a night. so my colleague and I each got one room.

FR no 3 FoShan

I can only answer for ALA since I never tried Yu Ping.
1) usually open at 9 or 10am. closing time is around 2am. For SJB, they close at 3am but they do not really close nowadays sinces a lot of their gals live onsite. I have been there past 3am. They say usually 5am or something.
2) provided. So is disinfectant.
3) Nope. you lock everything damn thing in the locker. You will be given robes.
4) in ALA, not much real massage, more catbath stuff and everything follows. everything in is 550. you can sign for extra tip for gal. Tip for locker room attendant is extra also - they will hound you.

For the girl, you do not need to tip. It is up to you though but remember you locked everything in your locker. For the locker room attendants, 10 rmb will do. I just got off the phone with Bro Maninsin. I guess he had a lot of extremely good advice to me about risks of entanglement especially with a PRCG. When I thought deeply about it, I can kick myself as I exposed myself to extremely unnecessary emotional and "social" risks....... should have kept both of them purely transactional.....

Got to clear my head (both of them) and take things in perspective. I guess I have overdosed on Cheonging last week including the trip to SG, like a guy tripping on LSD. After having been in China for more than a decade, please allow me to give you my 2 cent worth. I did have my share of experience for falling into emotional traps with PRCGs.
