me using the card for about 2 years now. APEC card only grants 14 days visa-free into China. So still have to apply business visa for staying beyond 14 days, or employment visa for 1 year unlimited stay & multiple entries. Business visa also got different restrictions. Some is single entry, some 2 entries only, some for 3 months, some for 6 months (max), etc etc.

Not sure about whether company plays a part in getting the card, I applied for the card w/o company's knowledge.

I know about the APEC card but not the full story. 14 days free visa is free for all Sg passports. If you happen to stay on 15th day, you must go to Pudong side for visa application which will take 1 day.

Single entry Biz visa is usually for those who wants to apply for work permit. Mutliple entry is valid for about at least a year with duration each stay not exceeding 60 days (Can go Hkg/ Macau turnard) as long as re-entry.

For employment visa, you will get 1 entry valid for a given period of about 30-45 days, then you have to go body chk-up & report yr residence within 24 hours. Then you will apply for a residence permit chop on yr passport (Valid for 1 year) with a work permit booklet (Can be extended every year).

Visa in china is seperated by Type:- **. So from the type it will differentiate the kind of visa you holding. For employment pass, company with registered captial of more than ¥5,000,000 can be done in china itself.

Less than 5 Mil, than you will need to go back to Sin, go SGH for check-up, then submit yr report together with a form for the China Embassy in Sg to endorse for a single-entry visa & re-apply when you are back in china as mentioned above.

Then when I go to apply for my 暂住证， the policewomen asked me what kind of Visa I was holding. The time I was doing it, it was already the 13th day. So I told them it was the APEC visa thingy. After some phone calls to the immigration, they were told its valid. And they were actually happy they learnt something new that day.

Anyway when I first used the card to go to Batam, all the immigration officers were called over to my counter to learn about how to process the card. No need to pay US$10 for visa liaoz.. hehehe..

You can apply for the card from the www.ica.gov.sg site... Processing period damn long... hehehehe..

At Pudong Airport, I like the look on the other passengers face when I lift up the barrier to walk directly to the special lane. I flash my card at the guard and was actually greeted by the customs officer. Hahaha..

sorry folks, maybe mine is old info. Cos I holding employment permit in China, n wif APEC card, the officers never asked any questions at all. I usually enter / exit from ShenZhen, ZhuHai & Shanghai. As far as I remember, I can stay in HK, Thailand, for 90 days visa-free, China, 14 days visa-free. As mentioned, probably mine could be old info.

Only got once, at Zhuhai exit, cos the officer's ink was smudged when I entered few days b4, the date of entry totally can't be seen, they had to dig out some paperwork (I guess it might be the immigration entry card), I was very politely invited to a room to wait. I was travelling wif a Msian fren, my fren was oso invited 2gether. They even served us tea while waiting, 1 of the officers even apologised 2 us for holding us up, that the officer who processed me during entry was very irresponsible, an embarassment to them, etc etc. We actually asked them, since I entered only a few days ago, and with my documents, it's perfectly legal, why don't they just chop the exit stamp on my passport, and they can follow-up wif watever paperwork within themselves? They apologised again, saying it's legal requirements that the exact entry & exit dates must be clearly recorded & indicated.

When I 1st came into PRC, I used company letter, go PRC Embassy in Spore, got business visa (single entry, 60 days) next day. Arrived in China, applied (convert) for employment visa immediately (oso got the brown color booklet employment permit), of course went thru medical examination, & got the resident permit (the green color booklet) when I signed apartment rental lease. As far as I remember, most of these are done by company HR.

Was deployed overseas to work on projects until visa expired. Then I kena potong jalan 2 join another coy. Same thing, got new (current) coy's letter, applied 4 business visa in Bangkok (cant remember it's double or multiple entry, 6 months) & got it next business day. Came back into PRC, went for medical examination, then coy HR help process the paperwork & I got the employment visa. They said no brown booklet anymore, the visa is good enough proof of employment permit. I registered myself with 派出所 after signing apartment lease, again, they said green booklet not in use anymore.

Both coy are same scale, MNCs with global presence.

I got my business visa in Bangkok (I'm not a Thai; was working in BKK at that time) to come into PRC (kena potong jalan 2 join current coy). This visa is for 6 months, can't remember whether it's double entry or multiple.

Ah-ha, now I know why my coy can apply / convert our visas so easily. Both coy I working 4 are MNCs with global presence, if I did not remember wrongly, ex-coy's registered capital is 8-digit USD.

errrr...heard of this 暂住证 b4, but I dun think I had it b4. Previously, I had this brown booklet, which is the Employment Permit 就业证, and a smaller green booklet, which is Resident Permit 居住证。This time, they said dunnit, the employment visa pasted on my passport is oso good enough proof of employment permit & resident permit, all having the same expiry date.

Hee hee, similar experience when I entered Thailand from Cambodia by land; The senior Immigration Officer requested to photocopy my APEC card & passport, saying many of them had not seen / process APEC card b4. So my documents can be used as example / template to teach them to process. Come to think of it, dunno whether my documents will be pasted on the walls at that checkpoint, or immigration checkpoints in other parts of Thailand too!!!

1. FR on HaiLang HC in zhongshanxi road.
This is the same owner as YP HC which is closed down. Went to YP HC first but was told it is closed and ask us to go to Hailang. I brought my Japanese friends along and there were 5 of us. I just did the leg message while all my japanese friend go for the 'full service'. The leg message in HL is actually included the HJ and cost Rmb 500. For those that has done the full service, the charge is Rmb 200. The full service is Rmb 700. The quality of girls there that did the message are not bad... the leg massage is ok, not fantastic but the HK is quiet ok. I did not know actually the leg message is inclusive of HJ but when my japanese friends were got out of the room to go upstair for the full service, my message girl were asking to massage the upper legs first and I said no... Was at YPH during the last week before they close. Apparently the operator of this HC owns a couple more HC around Shanghai as some Bros have mentioned.

First of all, I must thank all brothers in Shanghai and to show my appreciation to this thread.

I reached SH 2 days ago and finally have the chance to visit SH Hotel for the infomous HC treatment. It was a mind blowing and extremely impressive impression made boh on the quality and the level of service. I have had experience both in SIN and JB but it was nothing like those back hometown. SH is a totally different experience and this is what service and value is all about. (Helecopter BJ, full body massage by mouth, hot-cold treatment, sucking of fingers & toes, etc)

My SH hotel experience is something I shall remember and credit is given to bros in this thread for making it happen. However I do find the prices steeper (750 + 70 for mo sha) coming to 820 RMB per visit. However, the limited cash me would like to go for something personal (FL or companion type) where friendship is established, and which is ultimately easier on my wallet where visiting HC daily would be almost impossible. One thing I dont like is the "import tax" for such products in Shanghai. I dont pay such pricing when I was in Guangdong. Maybe they do a logistics routing and that made the cost in Guangdong lower.

Anyway, I would like locally produced bedwarmers but due to high standards, I may need to put in the extra effort to buy warranty and other accessories such as bags, shoes and cosmetics.

Lastly I think I siao... Sperm rush head...:eek:

月初某日下午小狼从下属公司开会出来，一看手表才4点多种，无心回单位工作，但回家吃饭还早，于是想到了这 个上海皇宫。差头20分钟就从四平路赶到了目的地。进门两位男服务生热情迎门“先生，一位？”、“一位！” 、“先生有没有预约房间和小姐？”、“没有！”“先生这边请，一位先生更衣！”我就这样进了上 海皇宫。

回到上海后，一直老实的没出去，直到6月底的一个周末，实在无聊，想起上海皇宫的双飞，就打车过去了。我去 的时候已经是11点钟。结果上到二楼一看，没把我给吓晕过去，大堂、包房全部满员，而且大部分都是曰本人。 只能找个位子先坐下，服务员倒了杯茶，让我耐心等待。我一看这个架势，我想今天有的等了，于是做好了打持久 战的准备，先做个158元的脚摩吧。下面是我等待过程中所见所闻：第一件是一个香港人模样的从三楼炮房下来 ，一个劲的在那里喊冷，让服务员拿给他两条毯子，把我给乐的。第二件是一位狼友打电话下来投诉，bbs听到 了就直接指示某某号小姐扣除200元，bbs还在那边说别的事情还可以放她一马，投诉就没得商量。第三件是 一位狼友本来要的双飞，结果快要下钟的时候要求加400元再进去一位小姐，结果被bbs拒绝了。唉，林子大 了什么鸟都有。

The long lost Yu Ping finally resurface at 999 Club. Manager Gao was his usual hearty self and persuaded me to do a shuang fei with his more popular gals. I would say that many of the gals are quite lookers as compared to Yu Ping. There are at least 40 plus gals when I was there with 10 rooms taken. This newly opened place is nice and cosy with many smaller rest rooms instead of the previous huge hall. All rooms have individual LCD TV.

Just be careful, it's juz a very thin line from ending up looking / being like a chai tao. Many, if not most, KTVs in SHA, pay $$ still gotta see the gals' face color & "serve" the gals some more. But then, at end of the day, it's up to individual to feel wat they spend is value for $$$, happy can liao.

For me, when I have enuf energy, I'd rather travel to other places, such as Nanjing, Hangzhou, etc, even flying to Shenzhen, Zhuhai, ChengDu, etc etc places.

no lah, depends on when u travelling, & how long ahead u book the air ticket. For flights to ZhuHai / ShenZhen, if u dun book too late, can get 30% - 45%price (3折 - 45 折), return air fare + tax & surcharges, within 1200 - 1400 RMB.

2 overnites in SHA costs u 3k - 4k RMB. At 1k RMB ON there, 2 ON costs u 2k RMB. Add in the air fare, u still spend 3+k RMB. But, the difference is, the service level there is so much different. Not to mention expenses of other stuffs such as drinks, food, etc etc, end of the day, I still feel it's cheaper to fly 2 Southern China (or quite some other parts of China, outside SHA), for cheonging.

In ChengDu, I ever got 150 RMB for ON, can even change partner some more (even orgy or 4p; but tat time, my fren didnt expect tat, he oso din "catch" the gals' hints, so din change partners). In Hubei, I oso got ON for 100 RMB. I ever "ta bao" the gal from Hubei to GuangZhou, when I just paid for the railway ticket, return trip for her ticket is 300+ RMB, but around 20 hours' journey one-way. But the gal damn happy, got chance to go tour. End up, the gal dry my little bro until I hang white flag.

I'm sure soon enough you'll get accustomed to Shanghai's slightly high expense as compared to other cities or provinces in China once you've stayed long enough to get the hang of it all!

I am pretty shocked too by the cost of HC at other cities (i.e. Nanchang, Nanjing) as compared to Shanghai here. Indeed it's very much higher here but there again, the quality they provide eventually is also alot better as compared to the lower ends HCs.
