If the zappers do so then they are giving me more points. I do not know how I managed to get 89 points. Only one bro gave me points and the rest zapped me.

All I did was to appeal through Boss Mr Sammyboy. He did the rest and no idea what was done.

I think you receive 13 points from helper and 56 points from boss. Together with initial 20 points from new account give you 89 points.

When boss reverse your reputation points from -28 to 28. This is equivalent to give you 56 points.

Boss has later return you all the zapped points. But he did not take back the 56 points.

nope, it basically means you need a min of 40 rep points inorder to have any rep power. Rep power increase by 1 every year, so once u get the min rep points(40), you will have a rep power of 7(2006-now).

Just wondering why can't we decide how we want/can spread the rep pts ... just like the pop-up window mentioned " You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours ..." when I wanted to upz 2 ppl on the same day.

I could have spread the points for both parties instead of having to wait for 24 hours.

Everyone(myself included) can only use the rep system once every 24 hours.
if you want to up/neg another nick, simply wait for the next day to do it.

1 hv pwr pt of 4 X 2 = up 8 pts per day .. if sys allow me to give to 2 good ppl ... I could hv given 4 pts to ea and still within 24 hrs from the 1st up pts timing.

Scenario 2:
UserXX has pwr pt of 16 X 2 = 32 pts / day .. if he upz me .. I won't be able to reciprocate, since my max is 8pts ... and further I hv to up the next 1,000 ppl b4 I can go bk to up userXX again ..

In the end those hi-pwr may be reluctant to upz low lvl user due to pt diff ..

If the sys can be twitch to allow user the flexibility of choice of pts to give ... it'll be a win win position .. all within 24 hrs from the 1st upz pts given..

Instead of one lump sum of points given out, example 12 available upz points to give in one day, and there are 2 deserving ppl when coming across their post/thread nearly 2 days later, only 1 can be choosen. The other guy may not login for days. Now, with the option to split my daily entitlement to give to 2 ppl within the 24 hrs period, I can clear off the rewards without the hassle of monitoring n avoided piling up of rewards to be given out.

Maybe could consider the privilege of the option pt split be given only to those with at least XXX numbers of rep points and premium members?:)

The intended suggestion is to enhance this wonderful forum further to new heights .. just like boss's idea of emulating in real life... u reward in scale form base on contributions n performances and mete out zapping according to severity of crimes ...lol:D

Setback is different, in this case the system is being gamed.

If i may give a serious suggestion, allow any account to be upped/zapped only once every 48 hrs. In this rule mass zappings or upping will be eliminated immediately

This will render people who have alot of clones who do mass zappings or uppings useless as any post is only valid to be zapped/upped can only be done within 48 hrs.

It will solve alot of issues and prevent abuse boss, do consider it

1) Tried to up (bossy) first - OK (but did not up).

You have to upped 1000 samsters before upping the same person again...if you up daily means slightly over 3 years...:)

If the balance post is not showing , that means that particular post had already exceeded 48 hrs time limit. You also can't up people in the soccer and newbie section.

Let me try to explain.
You had up daily over 4 years, so u had upped 4x365 = 1460 samsters.
The 1st to 460th samster in chronological order that u had up is now eligbile to be re-up since u already spread your reputation to 1000 other samsters.

The particular samster that u want to re-up but can't is later than the 460th samster.

Some examples:
georgemagnum displayed power 45 today but a few hours later
go back to his original 15.
marlborotan doubles from original 15 to 30.
Meow^^ remains at 17 - no change.
Uberzone triples from 16 to 48.

There has been no change in the actual power.

Previously, although premium members added and subtracted 2x the double power did not show in their profiles.

Same applied to the donor members. It was 3x but the profile still showed base power.

I have re written the script so that the profile now shows the actual power that these usergroups have.

The reason why you may see some fluctuations is because a lot of data is cached either by the forum or by the browser so if the cache is not updated yet, you'll see 15 instead of 45 etc.

I guess he did not view it as a donation. He considered it to be a purchase of the right to run certain sections the way he wanted and when we had a disagreement over what "moderation" actually meant, he asked for his money back.

I have no desire to fight over money. I've never done that in my life. It's not worth the hassle.

Thankfully none of the other donor members have gone down the same route so far. However, I've stopped the practice of awarding moderation powers in exchange for money. It was a mistake on my part to start this scheme in the first place. I have learned my lesson.

It's a minor issue over small amounts of money. Like I said earlier it is not worth worrying about. I simply refunded whatever was paid and moved on.

In life you have to choose your battles. This one's not worth wasting time and effort over.
