I kind of like it too, when there several times with friends.
Too bad it was closed and rebuilt, the new mall is now known as Esplanade.
Behind the mall you will find the disco Inch and Zoo.

Sorry, not trying to gloat over the situation, but looks like my July trip to bkk got a glimmer of hope. Singapore has just been listed as one of the affected countries as well, so, if that is the case, the likelihood is that they may stop travel restrictions, and the 7 days quarantine ban for travellers back from affected countries. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Got 26 days left to lift the quarantine rule... :(

Good substitute is Tawandaeng param 3 and raminthra (former has better shows). Thais and cabbies call it german long beer (euphemism for tower beer?). Seems their sinkie branch is now open at Dempsey. May get my kakis over, hopefully my fave thai female singer realise her transfer request from raminthra 555.

Ex Phuture aka Twenty was peng mak, when I stayed in Chaophya Park 4 years back. Beat hasty retreat, as my pockets not deep... got holes.
Frequented only once for both these 2 spots: Orbit in suk (bit posey style, if you know what I mean), hip place. Bombay Bar in LP, cater to young thai crowd. Felt out of place, suit more for you hot shots here:p Was at stylo restaurant nearby "To Die for", known hangout for celebrities -with deep settees in garden patio etc.

1. Good, cheap thai/viet food at Lat Prao soi 101.
Cannot read thai name, tel 02 538 7598/90. Open 1000-2230 daily, very popular with thais. Big, longish kopitiam with aircon seating inside. Not far from Mall. Good sausages, spring rolls with leafy salad to wrap. Only missing is my phor (beef noodles in clear soup). Bastardised with thai influence. Bring your whisky, no corkage. Food good for 3 pax + water mixers + 3 meatrolls takeaway costs only bht750.

2. Thai/chinese food below Thonglor BTS -Kuang Pochana
999-1001 Suk stretch, tel 02 392 5237. Open to late, cater to night supper crowd like clubbers etc. Open air few tables outside, with ac inside. Fri night, fish + fresh oysters + 2 dishes + small btl thai Regency brandy bht1060. If minus Regency bht240, bht800.

3. Big seafood garden, with live music, next to lakeside (near airport). Thai name alien to me. tel 02 2738 48112. Can see big lights towards/from airport. Nice ambience, alfresco style. Fish + spicy pork dish + 2 vege costs bht750. Promo whisky 0.7lit (not JW) at bht850. Sat night kena washout byb thunderstorm, so boss gave patrons 15% discount (only those who tried to make big escape from half consumed bill).

it's called Tawandaeng German Brewery.
don't get mistaken with the other 2 being Tawandaeng Isan and Tawandaeng Pleur Cheewit. They are also similar style large hall beer/food family affair.
but Tawandaeng German Brewery more for international flavour. Tawandaeng Isan for those who like dark skin northeastern/Thai fragrant rice growing people.
For the working class Thai, they head to Tawandaeng Pleur Cheewit.

if you want to go Tawandaeng Isan and Pleur Cheewit (they are opposite one another), stay at Nasa Vegas Hotel (only 699B a night).

Is Titanium in neighborhood worth a go? Know an ex FB who started to haunt there after leaving her base at Spassos (and ex Rivas if I may add). Hear there's some ice bar upstairs too. Not my league, she and her likes target farangs usually on expense account. :D

If there is any other place in this city where you can walk in and pick a naked 40kg girl with standup boobs to sit on your lap within 5 minutes, staying there for 30 or 40 minutes, while looking at more naked girls with at least 3 or 4 just right, and walk out with the bill less than 300 baht, I'd like to hear about it. Of course not in every bar, and being friendly does help, but not so hard to find.

This is my first on the road FR report in BKK. I hope it is OK to post this in this thread it seems to cover a variety of exploits and information on exploits in BKK.

This report provides ideas for bros on some ways to get a transit bonk or FL introduction straight to the hotel.

For this FR I took an alternate to the usual bar or café or massage parlor pickup, and went with girl from a FL escort site.

Funny that too, i just came back from Bangkok today, we kinda went to the same places. went there last week ;, didn't do much the first day, the 2nd day i had a FL over, paid 6000bht which i think is not worth it,at night, went to the PENT with a bunch of friends and brought home one of the mamasan and few girls to our place. continue drinking till 6am ! and then left for work...and came back to the hotel and knocked out, while some other friends went to Amsterdam.

Funny that too, i just came back from Bangkok today, we kinda went to the same places. went there last week ;, didn't do much the first day, the 2nd day i had a FL over, paid 6000bht which i think is not worth it,at night, went to the PENT with a bunch of friends and brought home one of the mamasan and few girls to our place. continue drinking till 6am ! and then left for work...and came back to the hotel and knocked out, while some other friends went to Amsterdam.

Woken up by my friends, it was time to visit Sherbet, which i think it was a bit tamed compared to the PENT. after Sherbet closed, we headed down to emerald hotel to check out NOIR, which ended up nothing and went back to sleep.

On Saturday, woke up, went to have lunch nearby and then to Colonze2, we had a private room, 4 of us, and tried the nuru nuru massage, one of the girls, we decided to book her overnight and she agreed. Left colonze2 and took a cab to Emanuelle, but it was pretty emtpy, left and took the subway back to the hotel. It was the night we suppose to go to RCA, we had a table next to the DJ console , it was really bumper to bumper in there.. . The girl from colonze came to join us after her work. Ya, i think that is a better idea. Just have to be consistent with 1 story like a biz trip, and then make a point to go like every 2-3 months. Hehe. That's what I used as an excuse to go on a quarterly trip.

For me, my wife also know my kakis well, so she give off-pass for me to go with them to BKK next week! :D She think they are like the super good-two-shoes. Of course, army taught us well.
