Anyway i write this in bkk, i will post this comment in the bbk thread as well.
Last night i spent the night in the REAL soi Horlan in bkk, i was woarned by so many people that its dangerous and that you need to speak thai. What a load of crap...oveer all teh drink a big bottle of hienekan is 175-200baht, a hr of the girls company is 150-240b, and the St rates is 1600-2000 so its much more cheaper than the patpong, nana or cowboys where a small beer is 100, LD is 150 and if u unlucky she will drink in 5min and be gone and for similar gals teh ST rate is 2000-3000 plus bar fine.
The gals in soi horlan is generally younger and prettier than in the ang mo areas, but they dont speak english etc, and compared with the dinosaurs asking for similar money in the beer garden..tehre is no comparison.
I havent tried anygirls yet, so i cant comment on service, but from my initial assessemt, vietnam honest cheapest in St rates, but phil girls cheapest LT rates and Thai girls generally more expensive than both, but they overall more attractive in greater numbers

Perhaps we come from different culture and background, so we do things from different perspective. But politeness and objectivity are universal language common to all regardless of where we come from. Hope this sums up the sentiments of many bros here who religiously follow this thread. It certainly sums up mine.

Enough said, lets look at more constructive comments, information and frs on this thread. I will retreat back to my little hole and remain in hiatus until my next visit :D But rest assured i will still contribute my share whenever i can....

Nowadays, the noise level at PR hotel not so bad as before and TAR13 is a nice apartment but with very limited services as compare to Watana Mansion at Ratchada soi 17 from 650 bahts with breakfast & 30 mins internet service (lobby). You will find 24 hrs mini mark & restaurant, hair salon, luandry shop, free wifi and swimming pool at WM. The deluxe and family suite (2 bedrooms) are fully renovated at 750 and 1300 bahts respectively. Nearby to WM is Coba cabana & Posideon MP and what more can you ask for this kind of room rates & facilities.

Back when AirAsia just went into operation a Singapore/Bangkok return flight can be as cheap as S$80.00-100.00 during promotion period.
But those days have to pay THB500 departure tax at Don Mueang Airport. :D

1 month ago I've to resort to old school coach travel from Johor Bahru to Hatyai then Hatyai to Bangkok.

However for those early sleepers they may find the pub downstairs a little too noisy.

For Huay Khwang MRT Station vicinity.
I personally find The Atrium Ratchada 13 Hotel (Ratchadapisek Soi 13) value for money.
More like service apartment than hotel.
Free Wi-Fi. THB890 per night.
Relatively quiet neighbourhood.

Food and Accomodation I cut back long time ago.
Now cutting back on Transportation. Hahaha.

From time to time cheongsters will ask me for advices and about my cheong adventures in Southeast Asia.
I will share with them the logistics and execution plans.
After they returned from their trip they asked me how did I do it and some more solo mission!
The feedback from them is too tough and xiong for them.
Take note these cheongsters are so much younger than me.

Again when it comes to cheonging please don't let language be a barrier!
During my very active cheonging days I use Translation books and Map print outs to get around Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, China and Japan.
Whenever possible I still do it this way when I cheong new places because don't forget what if your gadgets broke down or battery drains out?
You can't go wrong with a hard copy in hand!
Nowadays with Google Maps and Translation Apps it's so easy to cheong already!

My conclusion is that the younger generation are brought up in a too comfortable environment so in real life and streetwise they cannot take many tough things. :p

Should be still under the same management.
I've not been to the The House G-Club but The Resort used to be my regular G-Club for many years. :D

Yes The House G-Club is still very popular with Thai business men and rich kids judging from the car types parked outside the G-Club.
That was during my recent Feb 2013 trip.

If fate permits we can check out this place together.

My personally opinion would be, Tai Yai Gong Tao is much more stronger than the Khon Thai, as they know where is your soft spot, and really take care well of your being. Not to forget Tai Yai arhan aroy tee soot duai. 5555+

Every year Thai govt will open some vacancy for these illegal worker to have a chance to register as legal worker.....just confirm with OC paid 10k to agent to process as we dun want to go thru the hassle to apply in local govt office, bring her for health check, to Burma embassy apply for passport and finally labour department to get her work and stay permit. Now just started the process and she just got a paper/card showing application in process, so now if any police check on her will be ok.

This is why its always advisable to go with friends. This way the 20,000 Baht is shared among you and friends. You should not have any problem finish 8 bottles if you go with friends. According to bros information they are mostly in 75cl bottles NOT 1 ltr.

I only stay in budget apartments because I only use it to store my bag, take shower and sleep only.
Time spent in room is very minimal.
For food I eat my humble THB40 Fried Rice in Soi 13. Haha.
This apartment has a big fridge.
So usually stock up some Beer or Whisky and drink myself silly.

No bonking in room.
I use Soapy Massage Parlours for efficiency. :D
At night go to G-Clubs to drink and pretend to be rich man. :p

Its been a week since I came back from my 14 days BKK trip . Its was good to meet up with bro M, bro N, Bro A . Thanks bro N for intro huai kwang apartment , stayed 3 days there and I can see the room was superb , just that is quite inside soi. I would stay there again for my next trip as I realised there are some local thai pub disco around there. I was there with bro A and it was quite an eye-opener for me. There is another one bro M brought me but was close that night due to police raid.

After 3 days at huai kwang, went pattaya with my girl and then back to bkk and stay at praso near pramlam 9 .

This trip, apart form the normal routines of farang disco, went to esan pub and climax and it was a good experience for me. The funny thing is I was packed and no time for kappo massage.

During my very active cheonging days I use Translation books and Map print outs to get around Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, China and Japan.
Whenever possible I still do it this way when I cheong new places because don't forget what if your gadgets broke down or battery drains out?
You can't go wrong with a hard copy in hand!
Nowadays with Google Maps and Translation Apps it's so easy to cheong already!

My conclusion is that the younger generation are brought up in a too comfortable environment so in real life and streetwise they cannot take many tough things. :p
